Count your blessings if you attend MPHS. I graduated there quite a few decades ago, and went on to over 6 years of college in NYC, including an Ivy League masters degree. And to this day, I can honestly say that the very best teachers I ever encountered were there at Myers Park, not in top notch colleges attended later!! In high school I focused on taking the top classes and getting good grades, and believe I was in the top 5 or 10 in class rank. I had superb teachers at Myers Park, and still think of them often, especially since I never later encountered professors in college who surpassed the Myers Park staff in excellence in inspiring learning and "love of learning"! This was a very highly rated high school, nationally, and I hope it still is. Thank YOU, Myers Park staff!
