I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! I am an American who has Welsh heritage, likely (maiden name Powell). I sing, and I love Myfanwy. This singer on the bus has a wonderful voice.

So this is way I sing all day long, any where I am. My Great Great Grand Mother came to America from Wales after her husband died in coal mine. Hard time for them. Wonderful singing. Thank you.

I first heard Myfanwy on the soundtrack to a movie I was far too young to see (twin town) that my older cousin was watching and I instantly fell in love with the song, it became my soothing song and I still love it all these years later💛🌻🌞

Awww this old lad is exactly like my Grandad! Sounds just like him, same mannerisms and even looks just like him too! I'm Scottish myself, but my lovely old Grandad was a Welshman, from Abertillery, in the valleys and he also had a lovely singing voice just this gentleman! This man in the video reminds me of him and makes me really miss him loads! (My Grandad passed away sadly in 2007) xxx

Beautiful. Only 25% of my genes are Welsh but I love male voice choirs, in fact I walked down the aisle to The Rhondda male voice choir singing Land of my Fathers. My 50% Welsh husband had the Valleys family contingent at the wedding

In the beginning those people on the bus were making fun of him , but after hearing his perfect Welsh and beautiful baritone singing voice , they remembered their roots and it penetrated their hearts ! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We are an ancient race and the term Welsh was imposed on us by the Saxons, roughly translated it means “foreigner or stranger in our own land” the “true welsh” come from the ancient tribe who were known as khymric, this is where the term khymri derives, 💙
