I have a small correction on the Sachler story, that changes the ending pretty dramatically. It’s true that the government forced Purdue Pharma into bankruptcy. However, that is only after the Sachlers pumped out all of its enterprise value via dividends (over $11 billion). By the time they went into bankruptcy, Purdue was an empty husk that the Sachlers were more than willing to hand over to the government. They were forced to renegotiate the settlement, so they had to pay $6 billion of personal Sachler money (not Purdue’s) to the victims in exchange for avoiding any personal liability for how they ran Purdue. In the end the Sachlers still came out ahead by $5 billion and avoided any jail time. Hardly a win for the victims or the government. Source: Money Stuff by Matt Levine

That is exactly what I’m here for, all of it. Not only that, you guys talk about what’s interesting, and you yourselves are genuinely interestedly Jeep this healthy mix of content because I think the real vision point is entrepreneurship, ambition and curiosity. 57:00 I think “business idea Monday” is HORRIBLE. Your bad episodes get listens and views because we don’t know what we’re going to get. I think you’ll have Monday viewers and non Monday viewers which will effectively split your audience. A regular pod with a section for ideas is the solution IMO.

In the podcast world, where most biz-talk's a snore, Sam and Shaan keep us awake, never a dull moment, that's for sure. "My First Million," an antidote to monotonous drones, They dissect ideas until they're nothing but bones. Did Sam rest and vest at HubSpot? Well, only for a minute, Now he's onto Hampton, a new venture-his heart's right in it. Shaan dreams of a six-pack but Taco Bell's in sight, The allure of a Crunchwrap Supreme makes abs a long-term fight. At 2x speed, their laughter becomes a show, Sounding like Beavis and Butthead-oh, how the giggles flow. "We read all comments," they boldly claim in voice, Will they respond to this poem? Oh, what a choice! They're not into "small boy stuff," or so they love to say, Big ideas or bust, that's their only way. So here's our cheeky dig, a jest to keep things real, You're the kings of podcast banter, but let's not make that a big deal! How 'bout making artifacts, gems from business lore? PostPilot's investor update-oh, we'd adore! Sam's founder agreement was an artifact that shined, Follow it up, you two, and let your fans behind the grind.

An idea that someone with more money can do? Weddings are boring, they're all the same, nothing new, nothing unique, after going to 10 weddings you still can't remember how it was at each one. At least that's how the weddings I've been (most) are. What would it be like if there was a wedding hall in the shape of a dome full of displays on the inside and on the floor? How did they make that sphere in Vegas. So you can have your wedding anywhere, or in 6 different places in one hour. You can hold your wedding at the bottom of the sea, or on the moon, or in the jungle, or on a plate in the kitchen (everything around should be large, and the area of the room should be the area of a plate), or in the desert, or at the pyramids, the list is endless and the experience can be a special one. In addition to these effects, there should be special menus, specific music with the displayed area, effects, smoke if it is in a swamp, maybe even a little water like in 4dx movies. I remember what you told Sam, about a book that helps you organize a very special party, that's where I started when I thought of this idea, plus sphere from Vegas. I don't know how original the idea is, maybe it already exists and someone is doing it. Now I saw that Sphere in Vegas has a similar display, but I was thinking of a smaller one that would cover everything, including the floor, which would of course also have a layer of glass so it wouldn't get damaged. And to have such wedding halls all over the world, where you can have a very special night. The hall can be rented like this for events, maybe not just weddings, it can also be used for parties and others.

Love your content guys. Your talk about loads of great businesses where some guy or gal created a 7 or 8 figure business out of nothing because they came up with a novel idea. What interests me more though is how they grew those businesses, more than the idea itself, because that's even harder than coming up with the idea in the first place, especially without a big time. Are they influencers with large followings? Do they use content? Ads? Insight into some of that would be amazing!
