Interesting approach to flow control Steve, typically in lube systems with many ports necessitate the use of meters or flow dividers, the danger being the easiest path will be seeked out by the pressure leading to other components being starved. Please consider giving us a progress report down the road when you have observed this approach for a while. Good choice of oil as hydraulic oil has a light anti wear additive as opposed to turbine oil which is treated less. Enjoyed the vide, and that Myford is a splendid looking lathe, cheers!

Hello Steve, I was impressed with the previous video using this pump system but this is one step further... Well done as it is something all Myford owners should consider... Take care. Paul,,

That's a great upgrade especially for the headstock bearings. After the wick feed oilers,I think I'll follow you.

I’ve fitted a similar system to my small surface grinder but unless you have flow restrictors in the line the oil doesn’t distribute evenly across the machine and some slideways get more lube than others.

Good idea. Just a shot at startup, then the regular drip-feed during the run.

Why didn't you use 1/8 Male in stead of 1/8 female

With multiple lines all connected your oil will only flow out of the loosest fit bearing if you want to do this kind of set up you really need an equal pressure per line manifold to be confident every bearing is being oiled correctly

Hi If you watch the video through you will see that I have done that. I used equal pressure non return oilers in each port to create equal back pressure. This was pressure tested and works perfectly to allow equal oil flow to each port. Regards Steve
