NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! My generator isn’t installed yet! Centerpoint could learn a lesson in preparedness from Florida. My brother in Tallahassee had power back in less than 24 hours. They had 100k out of state lineman ready to go a day or so before Helene hit. That’s how it’s done, Centerpoint😡.

I'm in Clearwater, 12 minutes from the beach but at 41' elevation. Clearwater beach was devastated by 8' of storm surge. My house, not a shingle off, zero damage. I"m about a mile as the crow flys from the beach so got the same wind. It's the water that causes so much damage. The elevation there is 3' and the main street is about 200 yards from the gulf. Do the math, 3' elevation, 8-10' storm surge. One store had water to the top of the 8' drywall. The water was so powerful it knocked down block walls at the beach and broke up and lifted the entire parking lot.
