Myscene had it all! Budget dolls, Houses, cars and fashion packs that were better quality and more stylish than barbie sometimes. We had it good back in the day.

The original My Scene dolls had the same body as the standard Barbie. The only difference was the head size. I had a large collection of the dolls but they were unfortunately lost in an accident. I still have a few left and recently found the bag that I had stored extra clothes and accessories in.

Since they're basically on 2000s Barbie bodies, I bet these girls would be PERFECT candidates for made-to-move bodies transplants. They're likely to have skintone matches since, again, basically Barbie bodies, and they'll be completely compatible with all their original pieces

My Scene did have some articulated dolls as well. But they were the nine points of articulation (head, shoulders, elbow, hip, and knee) but I totally understand what you mean about the articulation

The dolls are cute and contemporary fashioned but a $40 doll is at a higher price point ESPECIALLY if the doll doesn’t have full articulated body joints! Coulda been a ‘new and improved’ generation 2 version! Just saying! Just my opinion!

They brought those MyScene Barbies back?! Guess it makes sense with the return of the Bratz dolls! What other doll brands are they gonna bring back next? Ever After High? Also, I wish the MyScene dolls had the M2M body with the articulation, but this is understandable with bringing the OG MyScene Barbie dolls back!

Yes - much like the reproductions for bratz these also come on bodies with the articulation like the originals for nostalgia factor. I like them all but do think that for $40 they all could at least have removable earrings. The eyes are a little smaller than the originals as well - and I wish Madison also had a jacket instead of the white baby tee - but I do think they all pay tribute to the original release of their wave 1 counterparts (those came with two outfits and if you look back you can see that for this release they basically did mash-ups of those two original looks to make one new one) quite nicely overall.

I have nothing against the new "My Scene" dolls, but I prefer my classic ones. My Scene series had more characters then that of today. Unless Mattel is planning to bring back all the girls and guys of My Scene. Plus they were awesome and affordable back then. Froggy, if you borrow a friend's My Scene doll(from back in the day)and make comparisons with new ones, you'll notice a big difference.

These dolls don’t interest me but I do like that built in foot/sandal and wish we could get those for our made to move dolls. Also, I still say they skimped on Madison by not providing her with a jacket or coat like the other two dolls. Thanks for sharing.

My main thing is they should have come with an extra outfit. A lot of them did back during their first run and I was disappointed that it’s $40 for quality that’s a bit worse with no second outfit. I got Chelsea and won’t get anymore unless they go in clearance, but if they make fashion packs for them, I will get those in a heartbeat

Why Mattel charge so much for the New My Scene dolls? If they have the dolls at 40 bones, they should at least have an extra outfit coming with it. When the first My Scene series 😍 came out, it had so many accessories 😍 and wasn't charged extra for them. They even included a CD 💿 with the Nolee doll. Delaney, Kenzie, Jai,and the boys of My Scene, I collected them all.

Looking at them now. Mattel could of just made the Dream Besties the new My scene dolls and added Madison and Chelsea to the Dream Besties. Their basically Barbie brat dolls anyway. Plus the Dream Besties can already wear a lot of the fashion pieces already. Guess Mattel just wanted to make more money I really see no difference between the two sets of dolls

$40 for a doll with cheaper fashion quality than the originals and no second outfit is a hard pass for me. You can get an in-box my scene doll second hand for the same price with a second outfit and accessories.
