I think a lot of collectors have taken a break from lol omg dolls. I still enjoy collecting them but definitely with RH, omg & Na Na Na I do try when I can be patient to wait for sales 👍👍👍 omg Sways Queens is my fav of all omg dolls 💚💛💕

Those mermaid dolls have fabulous faces! And I love them on the Barbie bodies. Given the prices and the detail, I wonder what sort of range of play a child could get from them - having a permanent tail seems a bit restrictive. Have you ever tried using a hairdryer to soften heads for removal? Poppen Atelier seems to get great results, and there's no messy water!

You can always use a UV light for anything that uses sunlight, like color-changing or glow-in-the-dark effects!

Fun review. I have seen other reviews of these dolls but you always go that extra step with head swaps and fashion swaps and that makes your reviews extra fun. I think the number of new OMG dolls is overwhelming but I have gotten all of the tween size dolls because I love the smaller size.

The Mermaze face sculpts are unique and cute, and I love how it looks on the petite made to move bodies. It really bothered me that the one's fin paint was chipping like it was. A new product shouldn't have that issue. I feel like quality control is always lacking over at MGA. Every time you buy something it's like gambling, and with their prices, it's not really worth the risk...

I was waiting for someone to try a body swap with the Mermaze Mermaidz. I like some of their faces and clothes, but I want a leg/sit option. Now I might get one if they are marked down a bit (they are $45 in Canada, and a MTM Barbie is $25). I will also be considering matches with bodies I already have, which might influence the mermaid I choose.

you can pop them in the freezer for a Cold treat instead of using messy water, you can get a UV light to see if it changes the hair color. and warm them up with your hands. There are ways around their color change water/sunlight requirements

i think it also has to do with the fact that Rainbow High is KILLING it right now and with prices where they are i feel like a lot of collectors are just not here for what OMG is doing in comparison. I know I'm opting for RH over OMG 9 times out of 10! the Rainbow High team is solid gold!!!!! i think its sort of given OMG the back seat at the moment.

Simply adore your made to move transformations Toya, you are the reason I converted to MTM in the first place! Love the Mermaze doll heads the inset eyes do make add to realism (wish Barbie could have inset eyes) sculpted tails don't do it for me at all limits what you can do with the dolls. I used my petite barbie Looks to create a made to move Skipper doll with the fashionista 124 the colour isn't an exact match but she was the closest to creating my very own MTM Skipper! Loved this Off with their heads, thanks again Toya!!!

I haven't really seen anyone try to customize or repaint these Mermaidz dolls other than their hair so i'm wondering if it's possible to put heads from other doll brands on their bodies. Like can a monster high or shadow high head fit on them, or would it fit with shrinking? Also, the lol omg head looking good on the mermaidz body gives me an idea of like when they turn into mermaids, but when they look more human, they have shorter smaller and rounder body which makes them look cuter and they maybe use this to Catch men.

I put the mermaze Harmonique on the OMG fierce Lady Divas body and it looks perfect but loose at neck but with rubber bands at the neck it made it perfect and not lose anymore. I also put Lady Divas head on Harmoniques body and it was a perfect fit.
