Let’s Check Out New Barbie Fashionistas! Are Any Of Them Worth Adding To The Shelf??

I'm so happy Mattel put out a Barbie like 199. I know they reuse certain face sculpts or they are meant ambiguous with an ethnic background because it's a lot easier for those who collect and play with them to project with them. It's great, it *should* be inclusive. However, I *rarely* get to see a doll that looks like a darker/tan Asian and doesn't have stereotypical "East Asian" features and 199 literally looks like so much of my Filipino relatives and family friends it's a little crazy. I've been met with so much, "You're not Asian, you don't *look* Asian" in over 30 years of life that it gets demoralizing and weird, so being able to see a doll like that feels like getting seen in a small way!

I'm definitely getting Fashionista 199 on Amazon next month for Christmas, and she's going to get a Made To Move Body. I recently found a Tall Made To Move Basketball Player at Value Village a couple months ago, and I kept her as a Body Donor.

Of the last 2, 200 looks like Cher and is giving wonderful Native American vibes with those cheekbones and the other doll reminds me so much of Malibu Barbie. I think it is the eyebrows.

I love the face on 199, she looks very fresh and youthful. Number 200 is also beautiful, but yeah, she looks a little more mature. She could be the mom and the other one could be the little sister or daughter? Maybe both need to stay on the doll shelf bc they are very different. Those dresses they modeled are gorgeous!! 😍 But if I could only get ONE doll, I think I would pick 199. After reading some of comments it looks like some of us are curious about what would happen if you sprayed them with Mr. Super Clear. Maybe on a random doll head, just to see how it goes...? These fashionista lines are getting better! The Outfits look like they have an actual theme and look much more put together than previous lines! I also love that we have a Barbie who is more flat-chested with more muscle and we have a doll with braces! I hope you will look at the doll with the hearing aids soon!

I solved the shiny eyes, lips, make-up, face, etc. with a coat of mattifying nail polish. It works quite good for the camera!

I really like the electric car, but I do wish the decals had already been put on it. I don't remember ever having to add decals to cars before. And the hollow mirrors make no sense, either. I'd personally attempt to fill them in in some way. Loving the new dolls! Can't wait to find them!

The wheelchair dolls having more articulation is funny to me. I waited 4 months for a mtm but it was out of stock. Ended up ordering a wheelchair doll and works just as well. Why cant they just add that articulation to fashionistas, so there’s diversity AND movement

Yaya dolls, dolls, dolls, not a Barbie fashionista fan but sometimes there are great faces to create our own perfect mtm Barbie. And the minute I saw the new wheelchair Ken doll I had to order him from Amazon US he arrived here in the UK on Friday and the screening is very neat. The pixelation is bad sometimes there must be some way we can fix that, maybe a little paint work or Mr Superclear to take away the shine. Great finds Toya I like both dolls but the one with the clear face is such a cutie.

The fashionista afro 195 is so beautiful, and has à lovely dress ! But in general, I think the original outfits of fashionistas are less and less quality. Mattel should make an effort with that. The poor stitching, the shoes... Fortunately, Toya, you know how beautify them with lovely dresses from Etsy ! By the way, I think doll 199 is the prettiest of the two ! She deserves staying on the shelf !😅😅😅 Another great video 😍😍😍
