Rust - My Favorite 2x2 Fully Extended - Rust Base Design 2021

In Rust base design 2x2's are well known, this is how I build mine. This base has 2 roof bunkers on 2 well seperated floors. This base design also has inner and outer peek downs for online raid defense. This can be built from the starting 2x2 roof bunker.

This is an amazing build guide. It's easy to follow and you actually explain why things are in specific spots 10 outa 10 I just built it on an oblivion server for my 6 man its great. I added so modifications of my own because it wasn't exactly flat where I built.

The way in which you explained things was excellent. I'm not referring to the fact that you even explained, but the way you explain is great. I'm a mediocre builder, and moving from solo duo trio bases to larger, stacked, multi-tc bases like this is something I'm polishing. However, I've just finished building this second day of wipe without a sweat. Also feel I have a better understanding of shells and so on. Keep doing what you're doing.

Around 5:36 there’s a single 250 health hatch to most of the loot that’s outside the bunker. This design should really stone that ladder hatch until you’re ready to build around it. Then pick out the area before building. 2500 sulfur to access all that loot is easy to get.

The second bunker adds a lot to the base. As you could move your tc there. And leave the raider's not knowing if they used rocket bottom walls or go from roof.

That is very true, the bunkers are seperated by alot of floors, enough to make them have to re raid the entire cost they would have used to get into either bunker to begin with, if that makes sense

Appreciate the effort you been putting into your work . Since iv built the base similar to this in your channel ( similar roofbunker 2*2 ) i have bit of talk on this design : 1. At 29:53 in addition to sealing it fully with ceilings , its better to have (halfwall + windowframe with sirrn lights to jump on) that let half part of the window stick out of your roof . This is really really important in case of a topdown . Cuz with your situation we have no defense at top downs ( in general i need some suggestions to Kill topdowners . Yes we have a roofbunker + turrets at top to waste their time a bit . But the thing is we have no vision against topdowners over here )

I have 2 more questions : i think its possible to add (gap foundation hidden loots) to this base , is that right ? 2. And since i played at a modded server and built your similar design to this base before (as a solo and fully hqmed up) . i got raided bunch of times all with around 30 rockets from outside of the tc . ( 1 hqm honeycomb + 1 hqm wall ) i was wondering is there anyway to make the raid cost to the tc a bit more ? My loots are safe ... its just that i need a bit more security more than 30 rockets to the tc if its possible , since i play at moddeds. This time is gonna cost a bit more cuz of the outer core part that you added . Which is good . But still do you have any tip for that ?

And last thing is ... from experience everytime i make this kinda footprints i try not to have doors from the core to the outer core . What i mean is in this case for example : ill have my walk through the base from : 2*2 tc to the top then to the corner peeks with windows ( the one with rocket gaps ) and from there i go down with ladder hatch to the outer part of the base.. then go outside . It has its pros and cons ... pros would be the increase of raidcost that they either have to destroy everything to get to tc or choose to hit armored wall... cons would be : they would go through your whole base ( accessing to every loots almost ) + theyll get acess to your peeks one by one ( but again i want to mention that im playing at moddeds. So players have much more explos compare to vanilla )

I had the idea, if they top down its the same as going through the bottom 2 shells and the hqm bunker at the bottom, and if they were to go from the top, it would be super super expensive to get to the bottom bunker, and vice versa, more vision on a top down would be preferable though, that would be a great addition.

You can add the pixel bunker to this for sure, I just really don't think they are worth the space. adding another wall would be preferred here as well, if you keep the tc on the bottom half of the base you could use slanted roofs on the bottom to give it an extra layer i think. the top would be more difficult though :(

It’s probably for further upgrading to armored / garage doors, since they are both stronger than a stone doorframe, which has 500hp.

so people cannot wall you off, and so splash from a bunch of rockets doesn't destroy all the stability, also at a certain point it is better to have only 2 material requirements in your tc metal and hqm... so you can have the most amount of upkeep per day

so i don't know if you have a different reason but on a build server i was able to make the original square foundation for the inner peeks by just adding the 2 triangles raising the square foundation and then destroying the middle triangle. it disconnected it from the main tc and was connected to the external. is there any reason i shouldn't just do it this way instead of building out?

I used his stone gate structure design as well, as opposed to a stone wall, for the compound, and attached it to the already existing external TCs in this design. If I am solo/duo, and dont plan to expand too much, is it better to use your previous bunker base that uses the same starter (the solo/duo/trio one), or should I use this? This one seems like it has more storage at the beginning stages, which would seem better for me, but are there any reasons as to why I shouldnt use this one if i am solo/duo if I don't expand past the outer tc part for this one, or the front door and honeycomb expansion for the other one?

There’s actually no way you’d want this as a solo duo unless you want to spend 99% of your playtime farming upkeep. Maybe on like a heavily modded server or something but who want to play on those? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Be much better to expand your group and then use a base like this

the main feature of this base is the 2 bunkers that are seperated vertically, it cost a ton of rockets to get to both of them, that is why i didn't add honeycomb You could add honecomb around the edge if you want tho

@@MyGamingExperience console has the foundation steps instead of ramps, no triangle frame/hatch, no triangle sloped roofs and no conditionals. I believe it’s close to the the mid-late 2018 build. D11 is working on bringing the triangle frame/hatches in no eta though

@@MyGamingExperience :') my friends are all not playing, that is about 3-4 different groups I have been a part of, at least 1 group plays now and then, so I moved to PvE and lately to X10 servers as solo. The vanilla is, a lot for me some times, I'm not done getting a proper height table; chair, etc so I can't comfortably... Focus on recover my skills for PvP... 10ago whatever I saw, I killed before I could tell what was going on... That reflex is gone atm. Sorry for being all over the place, I wanted to say that I got too comfy on insta-craft that I haven't grasped the true value that provides the mixing table, just like in your case/example. I'm working on being a builder, I was doing your roof bunker (from your ur vid where u show 3, last one opening with a triangle roof) but the server wiped rusty remains US X10 , the map looks to be the same but N and S are inverted. ...yeah :')

@@antonio20123 Playing 10x/modded teaches you nothing and you don’t improve, play vanilla solo, even if it may be hard it’s still worthwhile and you’ll actually improve as a player instead of staying at the same skill.
