The blender is an immersion blender. I've also heard it called a stick blender. The soup looks delicious.

I’ve been to Germany over a dozen times in the past 2 years and this is my favorite soup. Seeing that you’re German, I’m sure this will be good 😉 dankeschön!

I have heard those blenders called immersion blenders and also stick blenders. They are so great for blending soups and other dishes and they help to reduce the risk of splashing boiling soup using a regular blender!

Yes, when I looked it up, google translate came up with immersion blender and I remembered that someone had mentioned it in a comment of a different recipe.

It is called an immersion blender in my neck of the woods 😁

FYI, we call them asparagus "tips" in English. Your recipes are always good, thank you!

You added paprika. I've never heard if it. I'm just guessing that the german-Hungarian connection benefited something in both sides :)

Nice recipe, I had not thought of making an asparagus soup, btw, this recipe would be much faster if you used a food processor to cut the veg. The outer part of the bread is the crust of the bread, and we call those blenders, stick blenders. 😊

Nice video as always, I don't eat asparagus often but I do enjoy it's distinctive flavor occasionally and will add this recipe to my file, thanks :)

My family grows and eats an unhealthy amount of asparagus every spring! This looks delicious and will be making this on the weekend!

If your family has no problems with kidney function or gout, they should be fine with the asparagus. It has lots of health benefits like vitamin A, B1, B2, C, K ... Minerals, folic acid ... just to name a few 😀. Enjoy!

Please tell me the purpose to add lemon, I would like to know. Thanks a lot.
@MyGermanRecipes Жыл бұрын
Sure, lemon or acid e.g. vinegar is used in cooking to increase the taste. Other ingredients that can intensify the taste are sugar and salt. It depends on the dish and your preference which one is used. Sometimes a combination of them is also a way to reach the goal. I hope this helped.

Hand blender ...

There's nothing wrong with the ingredients but the fact that you used a metal spoon while stirring it that's wrong. Always use a wooden spoon while cooking. Almost 10 points if it wasn't for the metal spoon. Never metal on metal. That changes the chemistry and impacts on the taste of food.

It may seem a bit of a rude comment but in Australia we are always warned not to eat to much asparagus because it makes your urine stink, this seems to be a very concentrated version 🤢

Bahh- a little smelly pee ain’t gunna hurt!
@MyGermanRecipes5 жыл бұрын
It‘s just a smell, there is no health concern connected with that. I wrote a little more about that on the blog, the link is below the video.
@MaZEEZaM5 жыл бұрын
MyGerman Recipes I didn’t think there were any health concerns, on the contrary I’m pretty sure asparagus is very healthy, it’s just makes going to the loo a bit horrible. 🥵
