Mannnnn I can't thank you enough for making this video. I had the EXACT issue. Replaced my old beat up factory harness with a new metra oem harness and had no power. You solved my problem and got rid of my headache lol thank you.

This is a Great Find !!! But from your Aspen , you could have used the CAN wires and it would have worked. I did follow the wiring diagram from a 2008 Chrysler and , using a used connector , swap wires from my 2005 radio and it worked via CAN Data. But your find will let me install this radio in a Non CAN vehicle !!!! Thanks Again !!!!

Gracias me funciono, en un 730N, tener en cuenta la potencia minima es 12v con 2A, la prueba del video es con 12v 3A / Thanks, it works for me in 730n, the minimun power is 12v 2A, in the video is 12v 3A.

Hola qué tal, oye una pregunta en tu estéreo donde se conectan los arnes tienen dos hileras de pines? Es decir donde están las patitas más gruesas esa es una hilera de pines y arriba tiene otra hilera de 10 pines?

It will work only on RBZ Models. Other units require High or Low CanBus signal to operate.

hi thanks for the video I picked up a mygig today, I have power to the button lights but thats it, I may have the same problem as you, I have a dodge nitro the radio is from a jeep my harness plugs straight in but maybe the pins are different on the dodge to the jeep

there are 2 different canbus speeds for these radios a lowspeed bus or a highspeed bus, they cannot be interchanged and you cannot make them work without using something like a mygig lockpick. do not try to power the radio like is shown in this video, it will not work and could permanently damage the radio... unless you have a highspeed rbz mygig, I would not risk damaging the system.

I am really suprised that you got this My Gig radio to work, since usually they are security code protected, once you take them from another vehicle and try to fit them to another you have to enter a 4 digit code which it promps you to enter on screen. I am puzzeled that you did not have to enter a code? Well done though.

The RBZ is a non-nav unit. Sure you've figured that out by now. Hope the guy's issues were in the radio, because BT is ran in a separate module.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but some radios have low speed and high speed, making sure your vehicle is low speed or high speed compatible, if not your radio will not work or turn on. Is that right? Or is that only for jeep?

At the 1:14 mark, you show the back of the stereo. One of the jacks is for the main plug. I believe the small on in the middle is Bluetooth. Do you know what the other jack is for? I am hoping it is for video output...

The small square plug in the middle was for the steering wheel controls for volume, and radio tuning

that is because these radios do not have an aux/switched power wire, That is not how these radios are supposed to work at all. now after testing this on every dodge mygig of this line, it seems this only works for sure on the rbz radio... but you are still cannot set the time.

@@keithonwright I have been researching this non stop since my first comment, I have bought every version of mygig radio that mopar used. it has been known that the mygigs got the time/clock info from the wcm/cnn via the canbus system. there is an updated firmware for the rer/ren mygigs that lets you manually input the time and it will not double check via canbus, so the time will display as normal. but since this firmware is only for the rer/ren, and those models will not power up without a canbus signal, it doesn't help us here with the rbz. but the rbz can be powered up like you have shown and everything except the clock will work just fine.

@@keithonwright ok I just re watched your video, if you still have the 07 aspen, that is a low speed canbus vehicle and would need a low speed rbz radio to function 100% with the clock working. so I am guessing that the car that the radio came out of was a high speed canbus car?
