The village of New York (Ukraine) is first documented in statistical data collected during the census conducted in the late 1850s, as a place in the Bakhmut district of the Yekaterinoslav province, in which there were 13 households, 85 souls of both sexes and 1 factory . There is no reliable data on the origin of the toponym; According to one option, the name could originally have been German-language (Neu York) and referred to the city of York in Lower Saxony.

I think Bradley is a perfect vehicle for modern warfare: high mobility, decent armor, exellent against infantry and can even handle enemy's tanks. They are cheaper and somehow better than those expensive and clumsy main battle tanks, the USA should keep producing Bradley to send to Ukraine instead of Abrahm.

@@Spartan902 Yea the main battle tanks are primarily good at holding positions in prolonged battle in unison with other systems like air and artillery -but for these deep strikes and targeted missions and ambush assaults, nothing beats a light armor vehicle like the Bradley with a big rapid fire gun and missiles. Plus it doubles as troop transport.

Russia shouldn't have withdrawn their application from NATO even as they knew couldn't pass the requirements.
@SpadesNeil3 ай бұрын
It breaks my heart because although people scoff at Russia joining NATO, there was a time when, genuinely, it looked like Russia and the west were about to set aside their differences and become allies. Russian war planes brought aid to America after hurricane Katrina. American and Russian fighters played war games over the Bering Sea to practice in the event of a terrorist hijacking. Although there is much controversy around the peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, there was even a moment when US Special Forces and Russian Spetsnaz fought together against a common enemy. We could have been brothers. But instead, Putin decided to invade Georgia, and then later Ukraine. The distrust the world now has for Russia will long outlive his regime, and it's sad.
@simondormain703 ай бұрын
The USSR wanted to join NATO in 1954 but was rejected by the USA if they were allowed to join NATO maybe the USSR would still be around today and the current conflict wouldn’t have happened maybe the world might’ve turned out a little differently
@hades05723 ай бұрын
@@SpadesNeil Bro... "But instead, Putin decided to invade Georgia, and then later Ukraine." NATO literally said they would allow both Georgia and Ukraine into NATO. NATO has to justify its existance by prodding and poking the bear and the straw that broke the camels back was NATO overthrowing the legitimately publicly elected Government of Ukraine. Imagine if Russia did this to Mexico, how would the US feel? LMAO you people are dumb AF. I bet you believe the sound of gunfire, cannons and explosions that these guys put in their videos too. HAHAHA
@fromthefire41763 ай бұрын
@@simondormain70that’s a big maybe. Imo the East and West were both right and wrong about different things in the Cold War but I’m familiar with this and do believe Stalin’s intention with the proposal of the USSR joining nato in the 50’s was to undermine it. Regardless, there aren’t many ways that it wouldn’t have undermined it anyway had they joined because the entire point of NATO from the start was that individually European states could not resist the USSR. And that even together it would be a tough fight but everyone’s best bet to survive, and so Nato was necessary just to stand on equal footing, as critically during peacetime as war. I don’t think Stalin trusted any other western leader than FDR and so when he passed, so did hopes of improved relations under Stalin.
@fromthefire41763 ай бұрын
@@SpadesNeilI wholeheartedly agree with your comment. Though I do want to point out the whole story of Putin asking to join nato in 2000 is a Russian disinformation narrative. He made a comment to the nato Secretary General at the time about wanting to join but he didn’t want to go through the normal process of doing so. Over the years this passing comment became “Putin wanted to be allies but nato refused!” but you clearly don’t need me to tell you Putin just was never a good guy to begin with. That said. Yeah, it’s crazy, I have Ukrainian ancestry and still I can see it’s nothing short of yet another crime against humanity in itself just with how Putin is throwing away the lives of his people. They are my enemy. And I do not like thinking how many may have not ever wanted to fight but just never had a way out at any point. How many maybe were decent guys even right up to the war but then became twisted for a genocidal cause? I can’t help but see them as anything but just human and just continually sit in horrific awe at how little their society values their lives and life in general. I never could have imagined a supposedly developed society tolerating tens of thousands KIA in the 2020’s, let alone for the sake of outright imperial conquest and because of brutal tactics like “meat waves”. Man I could go on and on but then I remember my own people and it makes me pause but if we don’t acknowledge this who will? Justice is on our side, so maybe it’s right we don’t only use our time to speak for our own, there are many victims in this war, the important part is Putin and his regime are responsible.
