We, as a culture don't celebrate our older artists. Everything is a competition b/t old & new instead of a celebration of all. If I see 1 more comment saying so & so has "fallen off", I'm going to go mad. No artist can stay on top 4ever. While an artist is in the twilight of their career, we can still celebrate their classic work w/o tearing them down.

I don't know how often y'all read comments or if you'll even see this. I haven't been a day one supporter, simply because I didn't find out this podcast existed until later on. I have watched every single episode except for one. I haven't met an episode I didn't like. This podcast is beyond necessary. When I found out Tank was attached to it, I was tuning in regardless of what the topic or conversation was. And I'm so glad I did because then I was introduced to J. Valentine. And I've been in love ever since. This show is like uncles at a Barbecue kicking it, vibing, looking back at the memories. It's very homey and it is a safe space. You guys don't focus on drama or negativity. It's about having a good time, bringing the essence of r&b to the forefront, and getting ppl to take a look back at the old school artist as well as tuning in to the new artist coming up. And who better to do it? Not saying there aren't artist that have the history and knowledge and credentials to talk about R&B, but they're not Tank and J. Valentine. And that's what makes this podcast the staple to the culture that it is. You guys are truly amazing, and the work that you're doing is impeccable. I hope it never stops. I hope you never get tired of it. And to those artist who are afraid to come on, I hope they take a look at past episodes and see how comfortable you make your guest feel, and they can overcome that fear of looking crazy and be able to tell their story, that maybe people need to hear. And leave feeling better than ever and knowing they have new fans. So if it's not said enough, thank you two brothers for this. You guys are very important to R&B and to us fans. ❤
