@@FramingReality Yess! Mine arrived yesterday and I did everything with the swabs. I do have a question though because I'm going to send it off to the post office today. Is it required that I affix a stamp where it says, and do I have to sign the envelope? Or do I just leave it blank the way it did when it came out with the package? Anyways I'm hyped :D

@@slawaschwed Yes I know and this guy surely do not understood me wrongly. When I said "slavic" I was referring to the "eastern european dna" to not be misunderstood. Word slavic is more like cultural/linguistic category which do not has some bigger connection with dna and geography I know 😉

Glad someone has heard from MyHeritage. We sent off our 'swabs' over 3 weeks ago from the UK and have heard nothing. Difficult to contact too! Heard the US Postal service is bad although they are blaming Covid. We tried Ancestry (via Ireland) and they were very good. Now we're wondering if we've lost our quite large amount of money plus the cost of postage too. Can anyone advise!

Thanks for your comment! I'm glad you're interested in finding more about your own history. About your issue with MyHeritage, if I'm not mistaken, it takes up to 4 weeks for them to receive your envelope, but it can vary. Give it more time. I know you're impatient, but the only thing you can do is to wait :) Other than that, check your status on the account or just simply forget about it. Btw, how many tests did you do?

I sent my DNA from the UK 7 weeks ago (20th May) and it only just arrived at the lab yesterday (9th July). It seems you sent yours around the same time, so you should see an update on the website any day now if you haven’t already.

Yes 1 that I send is most likely missing because I sent it without a stamp. I send it second time few days ago and has not yet arrived, but its christmas and maybe they have holiday right now

Dear Christian, just saw your video and before see your results, I was really sure that you were defently Greek! And you know, at south Italy there is small villages that the people there they were and are Greeks and also speak Greek. You are very alike like Greek! I m also from Greece!

@@syedaliff3811 hey, it should be fine as long as the capsules are tight and safe in the envelopes. And since there are two, I think you are just fine. When did you send them? Expect results to come in 2-4 weeks

How do you send the sample back? What address do we have to send it to? Can we go to any post office? Those may sound like silly questions but I really dont know Can someone explain to me please?

When you order a kit, you will receive an envelope with the address printed on it. You will have to send the envelopes with the saliva samples there. The address may differ, according to your area. I personally went to the post office and shipped it, then waited for about 4 weeks until I got the results. So going in person to the post office is a viable option.

Well Romania was part of the Roman Empire and Europeans have always crossed over into each others Territories explains his DNA no way you can live in Europe and expect to be one race Europeans been conquering and mixing with each other since the beginning of time and yes the Greeks had colonies in Italy before the Rise of Rome maybe Europeans need to learn more about their history how can you live in Europe and not know the history.

Foarte interesant rezultat! E cam putin "Balcani" si mult "Italian - Grec" si "est european" in rezultatele date de ei fata de rezultatele medii obtinute deobicei de români, si totusi din prima secunda a filmului mi-am dat seama dupa fizionomie ca trebuie sa fii român. :) Oricum procentajele astea de etnii sunt foarte variabile de la o companie la alta, si se bat chiar cap in cap de multe ori. Stiu o persoana care nu a obtinut nici un pic de "Balcani" la o companie de gen dar peste 90% la alta!... Stiti ceva si despre haplogrupurile ce le aveti?

Cristi, multumesc frumos pentru comment! Intr-adevar pot exista erori, mai ales ca testele astea nu sunt le fel de concludente precum cele super scumpe (2000$+), dar mi se pare o idee buna pentru un cadou si pentru a introduce individul in partea asta de istorie personala. Legat de haplogrupuri nu stiu nimic, la dumneavoastra am auzit pentru prima data de ele. Ma voi interesa si daca gasesc ceva concludent, revin si cu un raspuns :)

@@FramingReality Un test complet de ADN, incluzand si cromozomul Y si ADN-ul mitocondrial ce dau haplogrupurile, costa acum chiar si sub 300 de euro, dar nu iti ofera si interpretarea etniilor care este oricum discutabila. Daca deschizi fisierul cu datele brute pe care ti le-au dat, ar trebui sa gasesti in el, pe langa datele corespunzatoare pentru cromozomii notati de la 1 la 22 si X de care trebuie sa faci abstractie, si niste locatii de pe cromozomul Y si ADN mitocondrial MT. Eu nu am facut testul asta dar acolo cred ca sunt si cateva date ce iti pot da un indiciu despre haplogrupurile tale de baza: patern si matern. Dupa datele "rs" si/sau locatia numerica poti sa cauti la www.genetichomeland.com/welcome/dnamarkerindex.asp si sa iti gasesti haplogrupurile de baza.

Actually my grand grandparents were Romanians and germans, which got me confused. That's why I was so shocked for the results. At least I thought I'd get s higher percentage of Balkan.

@@FramingReality you can try Ancestry.com com with larger database and tell you with precision all the DNA you have actually. MyHeritage just make confusion making some piece of one ethnicity as another one. However i don't leave the possibility you also have some Greek DNA since many byzintines of greet DNA origins had relationships with Romania and succefully many Greek communities moved in Romania and mixing with locals! ;)
