Just bought a ‘23 Elantra Limited and I love it, but this app doesn’t work for me. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, they were supposed to have set everything up at the dealer.

Go back to the dealer. They will get it working for you.

MyHyundai with Bluelink App doesn't allow me to change the temperature when I click on the "Engine Start". That feature went away sometime in 2022. I can't find that function anywhere. Anyone else have that issue?

My subscription is free right now, but last I checked, the tiers are way to expensive to keep it after.

That's actually pretty good price. I'm paying 110$ per year on Acura and only got 1 year free trial

It's deceptive how Hyundai states their pricing. They lead you into thinking you can ala carte which packages you want. The subscription has 3 package options. Connected Care, Remote and then Guidance. Each is $9.90 a month, well that's what they want you to think. If you only get connected care then it's $9.90. But if you want the Remote or the Guidance package, you are still required to purchase the Connected Care package regardless. So basically you can purchase either Remote or Guidance or both at $9.90 each but you still have to purchase the Connected Care for $9.90 in order to have connection to your vehicle to be able to use the other two packages. The Connected Care Package doesn't offer any remote functions at all. Just notifications and reminders and safety alerts if you get into an accident and you can schedule appointments. The Remote Package is the one that most people would want of which it gives you all the remote functions from your phone like starting the vehicle, remote lock, locating vehicle etc. It has all the functions that everyone uses. The Guidance is just basically being able to send destinations to your car from another device or using voice commands of which is nice but save your money. You are able to use your GPS without the package, just not with the above features. So to get the package that most people would use which is the Remote will cost about $200 a year after discount for purchasing a yearly subscription. No thank you!

Here's the big downside of Blue link. It's the only negative thing I have to say about Hyundai. If you buy a new Hyundai you have blue link for 3 years, after that you pay by "levels". The 1st level is Connected Care. It includes accident notification, etc. The 2nd is remote start/climate control. The 3rd is maps. Here is the completely ridiculous part. You must purchase these levels ONE AT A TIME starting from #1 for $100 per year. My experience: I only wanted/needed remote start. So I HAD to purchase level 1 & 2 for $200 per year to get this feature. Big fail Hyundai!

Seems like you have money problems. I’d hate to pay for things if I didn’t have the money for it either.

@@GiannaLSeems like you should buy it for all of us then. BlueLink is a cash cow that never ends. For $400 I can have an aftermarket remote start installed and never have to pay a subscription fee ever for the life of the car no matter who owns it.

Spend $30,000 on the car and then they want a monthly subscription to unlock your doors instead of just putting it on the remote.

Honestly, I hate this car. 2023 Tucson bought brand new, paying $624/mo (2/3 of my monthly income) and I can't use bluelink, can't connect my phone wirelessly, can't even just plug in. Everytime I start the car I have to tap confirm on the safety notice on a head unit that doesn't do anything but radio and Bluetooth. America is just a scam.

Foolishly bought a new car last month. No interest in this addition - or new cars in general. Was always tech phobic but had enough. Started looking on edmunds for 15-25 year old cars with less than 35,000 miles on them - 500 miles radius. Plenty of choices. If one tanks, it's less than the loss I'll take on the Hyundai Venue selling at 2,000 miles. Worst long trip seats ever in that by the way. It's gotta go, bad seats, unused bluelink and all.
