As a christian i know of the torah, and although we have the gospel central, we should be free to use its wisdom. But i have had discussions with other believers, often from a un-orthodox camp, who teach we should keep laws as 'the sabbath', kosher, the feasts etc. Then i always try to tell them those laws were specifically given to the people of Israel in a covenant context. I think there is indeed a universal moral law that's good for everyone, even found in scripture. The 7 Noahite laws seem to fit this fairly well. Interesting!

G-d's covenant with Jews was made with Avraham. You don't need to quote to us. We know reality. It's not found picking through either the Torah or Tanakh to find some text that you find relevant to the point you want to make. We don't abide by you as an authority. G-d is our authority.

I just came across this video. Thank you to Rabbi Taylor, for inviting non-Jews to learn your religious teachings and ways. I am Roman Catholic but have always been interested in learning more about Judaism. If there is a website to the organization, could it be provided? I believe the bottom line is for us to be the best human being we can be and be of service to our fellow man, regardless of religion or ethnicity.

The 7 Noahide laws are perfect for non-Jews. One of its law is "To establish a court of justice" which I tried to judge myself against these 7 laws if I can have a passing mark and I failed then I corect my ways.

Actually the 7 Noahide Laws, with their intricacies, are for all mankind. G-d gave Jews more mitzvahs to observe since we are to get a light unto the world. More for us to do in order to bring heaven down to earth while non Jews are busy bringing earth to heaven. A bigger task requires more people to get it done as G-d needs it done.

Some of the 613 Laws which the Jewish people are obligated to keep, are not applicable today like the laws of the Temple in Jerusalem but we are never the less, obligated to learn hoping the Temple will be rebuilt soon.

Until every individual abandons its religious conditioning and realize the equality of all souls, there will never be peace on this planet. Remember, God can raise up stones as children of Abraham.
@Y1836Y
@Y1836Y 6 ай бұрын
All souls are not equal. That's human nonsense being attributed to G-d. All souls are unique and valuable. Different. If we were supposed to be morphed together, G-d wouldn't have created us as unique individuals. Judaism isn't a religion since religions offer benefits to their followers. Judaism offers none. It's a relationship with G-d. No G-d won't raise children of Avraham to be stones. Stones have a limited soul. People have a Divine spark that's attached directly to G-d. We have voices we use to praise. Stones are what they are.

What is the penalty for violating the 7 laws? Please answer?

Penalty? That's an un-G-dly concept. G-d would prefer that we do teshuva, meaning repent and return to Him. To the person we were before the sin.

The big question is wether or not Christianity is idolatry for gentiles. I know that Rambam and Rabbeinu Tam disagreed on this point.

According to all opinions gentiles should worship ONLY the Creator ALONE, Christianity is a lie and Moshiach will eradicate it. But if gentiles worship HaShem through something else (like JC) is punishable or not is the question.

@@RabbiTuviaBoltonThat is not true. Isaiah 8:13-15 says the Lord of hosts (God) will be a stone of offense and rock that causes Israel to stumble. Both the New Testament (1 Peter 2:5-8) and Talmud (Sanhedrin 38A) affirm Isaiah 8:13 as a Messianic passage. That means the Lord of Hosts (God) is also the Messiah. A New Covenant that provided atonement for Israel’s sins was prophesied. (Ezekiel 16:59-63-> Luke 22:20).

@@johnmann8659 the NT affirms nothing to Jews. A ridiculous reference for us. Your understanding of Torah is yours. G-d wrote the Torah, which has multi-layered meanings from Him, that reveal even more about G-d. G-d dictated the Torah to Moshe. Not a single letter is to be changed or a altered. Or misspoken. No versions either. G-d's words were not revised. Nor was it replaced by a NT written by mere men. An un-G-dly idea. Non Jews don't tell us, who study the Torah cover to cover our whole lives, what it all means. G-d gave us, our rabbis, sages and rebbes, that insight, recorded in our sources, that's to be shared with the world. Not vice versa.

Do the 7 mitzvot apply to nations? If a (north east european) nation steal land from a (south eastern) country, is the theft then a violation of the noahide commandment not to steal.

Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee. Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.

WARNING - This may sound GOOD but it is WICKEDNESS. YAHUSHA the MESSIAH came to PAY the price of our SIN - of which the CURSE of the TORAH (law of GOD/Elohim) is DEATH. It is written for all those who have EYES TO SEE. For the Messiah is the LIGHT of men. The Messiah came NOT to take away the TORAH - which is the WORD of GOD (and HE IS THE WORD of God) but to FULFIL it and He DID, so that when He died as a SINLESS / RIGHTEOUS ONE - He was the ACCEPTABLE SACRIFICE - the LAMB of GOD. AND so if you have TRUST in HIM; FAITH in HIM - believe unto HIS WORD - that He came to take away the CURSE, so that we might be NO LONGER SEPARATED from HIM but JOINED together by HIS COVENANT PROMISE - that if we have HIS RUACH (Holy Spirit) and we do, we then DESIRE to follow in the footsteps of ONE ANOINTED - to ESTABLISH and DO/OBEY His commandments. NOT any man-made traditional laws (NOACHIDE) but HIS TORAH - HIS LAW which is BINDING on all men. On all of creation. REPENT of your ways YAHUDAH and YISRAEL - for there is ONE LAW for the natural born and the STRANGER. SEEK to be PERFECTED - HIS TORAH perfects you - BY HIS HAND He has promised it. THEN you will BE GOOD because you are GRAFTED INTO THE TREE OF LIFE.

That's rude and unnecessary. G-d wants and needs His world perfected. That's why we're all here. You can opt out of His Vast Eternal Plan if it's beneath you or you have other plans which are more important. We will continue on as we've been doing. All of the darkness that's being revealed and accepted as needing redeeming is proof of it happening. Darkness can only be redeemed once it's revealed.

Modern day Noahides have no atonement for their sins as Noah did (Genesis 8:20). Gentiles in antiquity had knowledge of sacrifices. Genesis 4:1-10 Job 1:5, Job 42:7-8 Numbers 23:1-6 Jonah 1:16-17 Blood is needed for the atonement of sin. Leviticus 17:11 1 Samuel 3:12-14 2 Chronicles 29:23-24 Hebrews 9:22

@johnmann8659
@johnmann8659 6 ай бұрын
@@NoahideClub The full equation for the forgiveness of sins is sacrifices (blood) plus vows of repentance. That goes for Jews (Psalm 66:13-19) and gentiles (Jonah 1:16-17). Hosea is saying accept the offerings of our lips because God is rejecting Israel's sacrifices (blood). Malachi 2:8-14 Amos 5:21-22 Jeremiah 6:20 Isaiah 1:11-17 The Noahide Laws fall under Christianity's umbrella now (Acts 21:25) and atonement for sin is received via Jesus (1 John 2:2).

This guy is a rabbi, trained and certified to teach about G-d. Despite what you think, know, heard or believe, the one you're referencing is not. No Jew would tell another Jew of person you believe what xians believe. He would teach Torah. No OT or NT would work. He'd know that the Torah is unchangeable. Always. It's G-d. G-d, Whose words do not get changed by man or men.

The one I am referencing is The Almighty, our heavenly father who you refer to as G.d. The Noahide laws aren't in the scriptures they're merely traditions of man,the scriptures say we should follow The 10 commandments
