Decentralised of the ECG at the district levels is to ensure that there is efficiency. Why can't we check the districts, making losses, and effects changes. The private company will use the same human resources yet make profits. We need to recharge our intentions and motives about the public sector.

The problems of ECG mainly stem from operating gas and oil-fired thermal plants that generate electricity at high cost. Ghana needs cheap electricity. This is obtained from hydro and coal. Instead of augmenting our power supply through the building of more small hydro dams and coal thermal plants, our governments have pursued the path of gas and oil thermal plants at high cost to the people, without consulting the people. We will not agree to private takeover of ECG. Those jn government who think they cannot give us cheap electricity through state-owned ECG are free to resign.

They should privatise it. Too much looting going on in these government agencies.

Lets try private managers for a while to train staff amd hand over. The government sector must be forced to work. Selling off shouldn't always be the omly alternative

Plz we don’t have to privatize our institutions what we need is punching system or pay by hour system just like developed countries, that’s how you get people to work because if you didn’t make hours you would not make money on your check or salary and so you find everyone at work and working but privatization is a No No because it’s going make life more harder for the citizens ✊🏾

Ghanaians must watch out, we are going to experience another Divestitures of State Companies, starting with ECG. Rawlings sold more than 300 state owned companies to foreigners and his Party apalachics, and now Mahama has also started.
