I truly believe if they would've invested in her bars forms she would've been in any all around competition, specifically her releases which could've given her a much higher start value, she clearly had power which she could've used to make up for lack of flexibility, they really did wrong not investing in those type of skills

I can definitely see how someone could screw up and give too strong of an opinion on overall gymnasts. Having watched gymnastics for decades I've felt that much of the technique has gone out the window and tricks, overall strength has become more important, but this is coming from a dancer who used to find gymnastics so beautiful and pro- dance quality, with things like pointed toes, full splits, fluid movements. THINGS HAVE CHANGED, and not so much for the better but in SOME ways yes for the better as they are changing things to be safer for gymnasts, and not pushing being hyper-flexible, as it is bad for the joints. The attacks on this girl are unwarranted in my opinion, she apologized, she was a high profile person and her words are going to be scrutinized and taken to heart and personally, but... she is entitled to her opinion and I doubt anyone would have flinched if Simone left and did NOT compete again and said the technique was overall bad and quality wasn't good at the tryouts (again speaking generally), the news would have agreed with her! It's politics and who's more popular at the time that make words better or worse...

It’s not just her recent comments though that people have an issue with. I don’t care how old anyone is, you don’t excuse r*cism.
@Charity_never_Faileth4 ай бұрын
@@Mia_MI didn’t hear her saying anything criticizing other races, just making a general criticism of the effort the women made in the trials. It’s not as good as it used to be. I think like her, aside from Simone, the technique is flawed and mostly because of lack of effort.
