It’s crazy to think that I’ve been doing this technique my entire life & never knew it was actually a thing 😂 I was just a kid in art class trying to get as much done in the 45 minutes I had, so I used my mouth instead of rinsing & dabbing the paintbrush

I've been trying to avoid putting the brush in my mouth, but I switched to hot press paper and you have to work so much faster. Actual spit-shading is the way, lol. I was worried about having a black mouth afterwards but it's really not that much ink

Have you tried water brushes? I use them but still use my mouth to control how much moisture is in it.... just curious.
