+Jobelle Collie Hi Jobelle. It depends what culture and how westernized a family is. In Korea there may be issues with someone being divorced, but as you are older and the man will be older too, there may be less influence of parents. Within the US there are many Asian men who are second or third generation and identify as 'American'. So something to also think about is if you are interested in someone who is American or if you are interested in a multicultural relationship. I think depending where you are, it can be quite easy to meet men. I think the best approach is to not be seeking out someone just because they are Asian, but to start being open and interested in what Asian cultures there are in the US. For example, if you are interested in Korean culture, see if there are Korean cultural centers around or classes (sometimes there are Korean cooking classes etc) or festivals etc. If you start meeting people in that environment it will open up more networks. In Korean culture it's very normal to tell friends that you are looking to date someone and ask for introductions, so once you have friends within a community just be open and honest that you are interested in dating and see if anyone knows someone who may also be interested.
