Gary Jules a interprété « Mad World », titre original du groupe Tears for Fears pour la B.O du film Donnie Darko. C’est en découvrant ce film et la version de l’artiste que Mylène Farmer a décidé de le rencontrer et de lui proposer de faire ce duo sur la scène de son show Timeless 2013. La pureté de dette interprétation me prend aux tripes. Nul besoin d'artifice quand un tel sommet est atteint. Musique minimaliste parfaite, voix sublimes. Ce n'est pas une reprise, mais une renaissance pour ce titre. Pour moi, c'est du même niveau que la meilleure des versions d'Aleluya.

Сама по себе песня от Tears for Fears, которых я обожаю. И звучит она немного жёстче в оригинале.Но Гари действительно создал уникальный кавер. На тубе даже можно найти версию, которую исполняет сам Курт Смит (собсна, один из создателей Тирсов) с дочкой и исполняют они именно версию Гари. А уж привлечь для исполнения Милен - это вообще, по-моему, какой-то запредел🫨
