I totally forgot to mention that, because this is solid metal, when you get it hot in the water it STAYS HOT so you feel that heat on your skin. It feels amazingly good.

I just got mine and the first try was not very happy... like you I have been a DSC member for years, so I immediately thought I was scammed here on this "single blade" setup...but THANK YOU for this honest review I think I am going to keep giving it a try until I get it. Reviews like this are FAR more helpful than what they have on their own website.

Can you make any comment on the learning curve of the Supply SE ? I come from years (decades really) of cartridge shaving. I jumped onto the OneBlade wagon recently and while I love the razor and the shave I can get, the blade cost and durability of the blades (2 shaves) makes that an insanely expensive option. SO, given the 8 shaves and the cost of the blades at Supply I am tempted.

After 9 months with my Supply SE the blade cost is very affordable. I can get about 8 shaves per blade on average. At $8 for 5 blades it's an extremely cost efficient option.

What is he Dollar Shave Cub, is is an a subscription club or is it the name of a razor or both? What did you think about that little knob/button. I think that button is great to just remove the part to of the razor’s head to clean the inside, which is convenient, but I’m not crazy about how the turning of the button/knob feels. It’s not a smooth turn that comes to a stop, turning it doesn’t feel good quality. How long is that spring on it going to last? And it’s hard to tell when you should stop tightening it and know when you should stop tightening it. What were your thoughts about that? And can you use regular double edge razors to pop in half and insert in this Supply Co. SE Razor? Thanks:)

Dollar shave club is a subscription. It offers a few different handles and blades. I've been using them for many years, no complaints. I shave my face and head with the 5 blade and it's been great.

Just splitting hairs. Hahah during a review for a shaver The SE website tells us to place the logo on the shaver flat up against our skin for the correct angle. Do you find yourself wiggling the angle some? Thank you for the honest review

How is this for stubborn clogs during a shave? "Stubborn", meaning simply rinsing will not remove the clogs, and that the razor head must be taken apart and the blade removed to WIPE off the clog and then put it back together to continue the shave. Also, if razor head and blade cannot be cleaned and dried before re-use, then the whole thing becomes poor.

Does the blade get clogged at all though? Oh also man ive heard that shave butter can sometimes clog razors because of the consistency have you had any problems with this? Or is it just typical rinse like cream.
