RIP Myles Goodwyn 😪He absolutely is one of the greatest songwriters in the hard rock genre Canadian or otherwise. Great hooks and great harmony! I don't think anyone wrote better parts for three guitars than him either.

I have a great memory of interviewing him for the high school newspaper when April Wine played there in the seventies. He was so genuine and generous with his time. He was a Canadian music icon and a truly great guy.

At my present age of 60, April Wine is one of the few bands/musical acts who I could never tire of. Myles Godwin’s musical composition, signature vocals & guitar sound makes him immortal, because he wrote music that will always be appreciated by many. I introduced my Filipina girlfriend to April Wine’s songs while living in Taiwan, in the early 1990s. 32 years later, she’s still into their music. Truly, a Canadian icon.

Myles Goodwyn WAS April Wine. The voice of a 70s Canadian generation. Part of the fabric of this country in all of us who remember hearing April Wine on AM radio when our Mum's and Dad's took us home from Cub-Scouts in 1974. Music that will live forever. Thank you Myles.

"Just Between You And Me" was the very first song I ever heard by April Wine back in 1982 on WNEW FM New York. It blew me away. Since then, I've been a big April Wine fan and have never understood why they never made it big in the U.S. Such a great and incredibly underrated band. They are sorely missed. R.I.P. RIP Myles. So sad. Seen April Wine live a few times, got my treasured t-shirt, and a bunch of their albums. My favourite songs are "I Wouldn't Want To Lose Your Love", "Oowatanite", "You Won't Dance With Me", "Bad Side Of The Moon", "Just Between You And Me", "Tonite Is A Wonderful Time to Fall in Love" and "Say Hello". But really I love all their songs. RIP Myles. It won't be the same without you. Tonight I'm gonna rock myself to sleep.

What can we say, another great singer song writer passes on. I'm absolutely certain, 100%, that the people i grew up with in Canada today are remembering him. He was a big part of our Canadian identity and youth in general. Salut to April Wine, i lower my head and open my heart in respect to all his family and friends. A huge loss indeed. I'm listening to April Wine this week and it feels so strange , now that he's gone. I felt the same way for PRISM singer (British Columbia band), who died so young in the 80's

I wish I could've seen them one more time, but was unable to. As a Yank, I often think the US ignores the great music that comes out of Canada. Also, I've always felt that April Wine and other Canadian bands should be in the so called Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, but like many others, have been gyped. R.I.P. Myles Goodwyn, your music has given me so many wonderful memories from my youth.
