That pin box is a rotating pin box. You remove the two bolts on the back underneath. Then on initial hookup up you take the wedge and position it into the opening of the fifth wheel hitch and torque the bolts. The moves the pivot point from the hitch to under the fifth wheel and is supposed to allow for 90 degree turns with a short bed truck.

Do different fifth wheel trailers of the same model have different GVW stickers depending how they are equipped with the different options? The reason I ask is same model I looked at last year had a GVW under 10,000 lbs. In the jurisdiction where I leave with me class of driver’s licence the maximum GVW I am allowed to tow is 10,000 lbs.

Can you install a generator on this model? Is there room for a Cummins 3,500 in the front? Also, do you have any idea what size opening is on the rear of this fifth wheel? Thanks!

I would be cautious in towing this with a 1/2 ton - unless your 1/2 ton is prep for the payload.
