Ribot is incredibly multifaceted on guitar, never banal and always complex. He is always amazingly independent in this world full of clever minds and chattering idiots - a blessing.

My favorite thing about Ribot is how he tows the line between brilliance and moments of sloppiness. You’d be mistaken to assume any of the sloppiness is unintentional.

There is a shitload of virtuoso guitar players on KZbin, all technique and speed, and they all SUCKS. Ribot is great because he is a creator and an artist of the instrument. He has soul. Thats the point.

Weird comments about Cobain. Anyway, Johnny Marr used Jaguars before him. Not sure when Marc started using them. I don't think he did back in Lounge Lizard days.

@@shawndimery Dude, compare Ribot to Cobain, serious? It does not make any sense! Ribot is by far the best guitar, by far ... but in terms of voice and composition, Cobain wins, by far! Both are great! two different animals.
@shawndimery11 жыл бұрын
Because he is a overrated guitar player, boring power chords, his soul is in his voice, but certainly not in his playing my friend. And he is only regarded as good because he martyred himself by unloading a shotgun in his face.
