Racism is in every country (Korea, India, USA, UK, Australia etc..) almost every country has at some level and people experience it in some form. No county is perfect. Some small minded people do it and I completely condemn it and they should be punished for it . Let’s not spread hate targeting one country. The problem is that they already kicked out more than 60% of Indians. There used to be a massive community of Indians around Guro and Sindorim, more than 20,000 South Asians around there, and over the last 2-3 years, most of them were denied visa renewals, bank accounts, property and business. That's not one or two people, thats thousands of people who systematically suffered. You need to find out about the horror stories instead of dismissing them.

But my husband never criticized me and also many of my korean friends and in-laws never disrespected me. But others did that so many times. Like some people didn't even looked at me at my wedding, my husband's friends suggested him that he shouldn't marry me because of my complexion, but after all this he loved me the same way. That means racism is in peoples' minds not in the country.

Reminds us of the British when they used to hang signs saying "Indians and Dogs not allowed". If your blood doesn't boil after reading this, you are not Indian, have you become Korean now? After watching a few dramas? Check out some other videos as well, Hindus not allowed!! Hindus!! Now how will you try to justify this? Also look for a korean restaurant in India but hires Nepali staff and doesn't allow Indian people, while operating in India. Let me share my story when I went Korea for the first time in January last year. I was going for attending a conference and was travelling by a train. I met one Korean family in the train with whom I was talking during our trip. We used translations to understand each other properly. So after we arrived at the same station they asked me where will I go from there and when they know that it would take 30 min for me to reach my destination by walking they decided to gave me ride in their car. I’m extremely thankful for their behaviour and I can proudly say that I never experienced this sort of good behaviour from random people in my own country India. I don’t care what anyone thinks but if you are a good person then people will be kind to you because everyone is a human being and has the same sentiments in their hearts.

Racism anywhere is bad and am glad it's being highlighted. At the same time, when are we Indians planning to fix unpatriotic practices like racism and religious discrimination in our own country (with full ruling party support)? Many of us may not be aware, but the way lower castes + blue collar workers (maids etc) + non-officer defense personnel (Army jawans etc) are treated by upper castes in India qualifies as racism! So is treatment of folks from North East India in our mainland and Asian looks being labeled as "chaptas". And let me not even talk about how religious hate has been normalized in the recent times. On the contrary, boycotting other countries and launching a bigoted social media warfare is highly unpatriotic as it harms our national interests even further. Else let's be prepared for a global backlash against us that would seriously affect India's investment climate and our own employment opportunities. What instead works is having calm and respectful open conversation with folks from both countries.

@@ggeo1364You know there might be a reason why women were not given importance in ancient times. They knew about their psychology, behaviour, and character. It's even reflected in the ancient text, where in the beginning they were considered blessings, auspicious, good luck, and goddesses, but over the millennia, their importance started decreasing, and the scriptures started talking venomously against the women. They started mentioning them as bad omens, adulterous, characterless, burdens, etc. These things must be related to women's disloyalty towards the culture and tradition of their families and communities. They must have been hypergamous, social climbers, and promiscuous in those times, which still reflects in today's society. That's the reason why they would have increased monitoring of them while restricting their liberty.

Thanks for being a rational voice in this whole sensitive matter. Yes some responsibility lies on our part too. We are representing our country in a foreign land. We cannot instantly change the prejudiced mindset of some Koreans with a wave of a magic wand. There needs to be effort from both sides. We, on our part should be respectful on their motherland and they should also educate themselves and not just rely on stereotypes and i do believe the younger generation there will understand this better. Another thing that's bothering me in this whole issue is that there are so many people on KZbin who are using this opportunity to abuse and patronize fans of k-pop and Kdrama instead of talking about asking important and valid questions to those who have a prejudiced mindset against Indians. But no they just wanna use the holier-than- thou card and channel their criticism elsewhere. (Side note : I also blame the racist western media outlets like bbc who have been conspiring against India and portraying a negative image of India. And movies like Slumdog Millionaire that overglorifies poverty in India. Sorry this one turned into a rant lol)

@@Vedantuvasi-fx2xy I never said that we shouldn't stand up against the blatant racism and discriminatory treatment that's seen in those signs outside those clubs but what I was trying to say is that there's a fine line between criticism and spreading hate. Thank you for putting forth a balanced view. I was surprised to see so many popular KZbinrs making videos about South Koreans banning Indians and they were getting millions of views. It creates sense of distrust among both countries. We share history, trade and business with South Korea. We love the cultural exchange and I have seen so many South Korean men who are married to Indian women and vice versa. When someone makes an emotionally triggering video like that, it also puts South Koreans living in India at risk. They might start facing hate and racism in India. KZbinrs should be careful while making controversial videos like that for clickbait and money. Our Indian citizens are very much discriminatory towards other Indians, the KZbinrs in India should first highlight those pressing issues. North Indian does discrimination towards South Indians, most of the countrymen do racism against Biharis, Upites and North East Indians. I have seen mostly Indian men who talk so negatively about Korean men and BTS, even making derogatory comments about their masculinity just because some Indian women like South Korean men. I can’t use the words they use for BTS and other K-Pop idols because they are so offensive. We need to stop pointing fingers at other countries and bring a positive change in our own country. And you are right that we should learn to conduct ourselves with responsibility when we go abroad because we aren’t just representing ourselves but our whole country. Just recently I saw the news of a South Korean woman tourist who was harassed in Pune. How are we presenting ourselves in the world? We need to stop feeling superior and entitled and learn basic civic sense and manners. Japanese are a close ally to India and we must learn how to conduct ourselves from them. There is no point in playing a victim, we should take it as a constructive criticism. Racism happens everywhere in the world but we shouldn’t judge a whole country because of a few bad apples, but if you are facing discrimination and humiliation, you should stand up for yourself. You just need to pick your battles wisely.

Wow incredibly immature and trying to justify racism with more racism!! Amazing act by our Koreaboos. Where do you find the brains for this? Yes we have problems that does not mean everyone is like that. Does this give them the right to generalize such behaviour against 1.4 Billion people? Is this true then, watch the video of Korean women in India dancing vulgarly should we ban Koreans now? Or saying Hindus not allowed? Or a Korean Restaurant in India hires Nepali staff and doesn't allow Indian people to dine in. What should we do now? Ban Koreans? If you are worried about Indian people facing backlash they shouldn't and that is how it should be. They are in the wrong and they should say sorry, what kind of colonial mindset makes you justify all this? Still on the colonial hangover? Waiting for the approval of Foreigners? Doesn't this remind you of Indians and Dogs not allowed during the British occupation? We should conduct ourselves responsibly abroad ? Yes we should!! Absolutely!! But that still does not give them the right to discriminate against us on the basis of Religion or race. It was also their responsibility to behave when they came to India, so what the hell was that vulgar dance? Should we put out signs sayinh Koreans not allowed? Damn I didn't believe people when they said we are still under the colonial hangover, you have educated me today.

Hi Neha di, I liked ki aapne iss topic ko clarify karne ke liye aur context batane ke liye alag se ek video banayi. I agree with most of your opinions and I also agree that racism can be anywhere but that does not apply to people who belong from the same region. Mujhe itna lagta hai ki jab artist or actors log fairness products or plastic surgery advertise karte hai toh it's not sending a good message or setting up better beauty standards for people who aren't fair. I think everyone is beautiful in their own way but it starts getting uncomfortable jab logo jo lagta hai ki unka chehra ya body perfect nahin hai and they need to go under the knife to look "perfect". To each to it's own but I still think ki Korean beauty standards are not the best/ideal beauty standards to follow especially when it has become a big deal around the world from last couple of years. Korea and India need to have self-love and appreciation for their natural self and not be burdened to change their appearance just so they can feel accepted and fit in with people who care just about looks. Instead, be kind to yourself and others and follow a lifestyle that helps your mind and your body where you don't feel you have to change something in yourself. I hope ki meri baat ka kuch sense bana ho😅par I liked that you decided to speak up on a sensitive topic and voice your opinions to clear out any misunderstandings. Well said. I'm an ethnic Chinese and I have to say as long as there are races and ethnicities that differentiate us in terms of skin colour, facial features, cultural practices etc, there will be racism. It's an inescapable truth. Even within Chinese society, "racism" along ethnicity can also happen. The same can be said of Indian society with even more entrenched issues because of the caste system. Racism can also come about because that one person has bad encounters with enough faceless strangers from a certain race or ethnicity that he/she forms a certain opinion about it. Of course, logically speaking, these people can't represent their entire race. They are still the minority in every race which unfortunately always get the attention in media.

I 100% agree with you. Racism will always exist as long as humans exist. The good thing that we can do is to become a better no matter what.

Many people are still focusing on the fact that Koreans "hate" Indian, but no one wants to face the truth behind these things. Thank you so being so bold and logical enough to explain the whole concept to people.

The lady has not explained it. Rather covered it. Why in the west there are no such boards outside the clubs where there are so many Indians?

@@tada2508lol touching women here n there in Korean society they are classy civilized they don't liked this behaviour? Chill you may not want to face the reality Indian men misbehave with women be it in india or abroad they even misbehave with northeast Indians there's difference btw western and Korean culture better accept it they may not like all this and it may not be common in their society so chill

Maybe the Indians there are good mannered and hadn't done such bad behavior. So racism is not the problem of country it is the problem of narrow minded people. But it's human nature when one people does mistake they use to blame whole cast, community or country because it is true that people represent these things. So when any person is behaving with others must take care of their doing as he or she belongs to any particular cast, community or country.

I think she just reiterated a made-up story by the club's owner so that he doesn't come off as a blatant racist. But I think he was doing it on purpose to keep out South Asians, because that's what his regular Korean patrons wanted. The simple fact of the matter is that many (possibly even most) Koreans look down on South Asians, Africans, (and from what I hear, some SouthEast Asians too). It's because these countries are simply not as developed as Korea, and the Koreans know it. It's a very natural human instinct to discriminate, and many Koreans have no problem displaying it, whereas in western countries, and even in Japan, people tend to be more subtle about it.

I am married to an Indian, I live in India and I have suffered racism. My daughter, when she was 4 years old, was a horrible victim of racism, and she cried every day because she is dark like her father, she hated her skin color. and he was only 4 years old. They also told her that she was not pure, that she was half Indian, etc. There are places in India where I cannot enter as a foreigner, if you eat meat, vegetarians will not rent their house to you. I have even been rejected to stay in a hotel because I am a foreigner, all while being with my Indian husband.
