Ginger! I want to let you know I have no more problems with my Ninebot Max! A few days ago I tried it out for the first time and was disappointed because I only was about to get 10 miles of range out of it. However after I properly inflated the tires to correct psi I got an additional 7-8 miles out of it! With a total travel distance of 17-18 miles. Basically from Renton to Maple Valley! One of these days I'm going to try and really go the distance and travel from Renton to my friends house in Bellevue in eco mode. I think I can now easily get 20+ miles out of it :) I still really want to add the 48v external battery pack to it someday!

@@GingerOnWheels That's a really working way of eating, but takes a while to adapt. I'm mostly on beef (more often ground one for financial reasons), fish, lamb and chicken. Eggs are great too. (Pork is fine, but I don't eat one). I excluded any kinds of plant oils (seed oils), as they're toxic. Butter, ghee and tallow instead. I eat normally OMAD or 2mad (one meal a day or two) to satiety. No calories count no nothing. Close to 0 carbs. At the beginning I made quite some intermittent fasting, from 18 - 42 hours. Now mostly 15-26 hours (not much fat reserves left). Its easy to check. Just pop the old pads out and check how worm the material on the pads is where the disc rubs. If there is a big disc shaped carved into the pad or if you see bare metal where the pad should be then it's time for new ones. It's hard for me to know without looking.

2:05 not sure why these companies have not made a fairing for the high speed scooters to help with aerodynamics. Maybe something hinged in the middle that is spring loaded that stores flat when folded or at low speeds but adjusts to wind pressure and becomes more A-shaped at higher speeds.
@GingerOnWheels2 жыл бұрын
That could be useful... but the drag of the rider is so great at high speeds that I don't think a fairing for the frame would help much. Unless you're wearing tight clothes then the rider just acts like a big parachute at speeds above 30mph. Skin tight clothes plus a fairing might get you an extra 5-10mph and a bit more range, but to most people it's not worth the effort.

I’m concerned in the long run, these motors are made for 36v so if you put 48v I’m afraid in the long run the motor could burn , I guess.!.
@GingerOnWheels3 жыл бұрын
Hundreds of these packs have been sold with no issue. It's a valid concern, but we just aren't seeing that happening.
@eeroi61183 жыл бұрын
Increased voltage won't increase temperature, increased amperage will. It is very unlikely for your motor to burn anyway.
@ninebotg30maxmodding3 жыл бұрын
@@eeroi6118 In the meantime, it must be said that if you raise the voltage you have to lower the Amps. Joule's law suggests this, power for time of use. If we make the scooter work at 1000w nominal 36v we have to make it work at 1000w even at 48v it goes without saying that the watts are calculated A*V if we raise the volts lower the Amps and no engine is burned

Ya, a few hundred miles worth. Zero issues. I just charge the external pack whenever I charge the scooter and its like its not even there until you punch the throttle lol.

@@GingerOnWheels Hey Ginger new subscriber to the channel digging your videos so far. Need your Advice! I have been looking for a scooter for several months now was in the $900 range originally bought the evercross h5 "800" watt I live in sf and was dreaming of zipping up hills...Ya I sent that junk back after one test drive. I've always liked the segways I hear the ninebot max will get me around the city with a better drive feel and power. Now I'm 6 foot 1 185 pounds and I do have some decent hills I take on even if I have to slalom at the tops. I just saw the the 48v battery upgrade option/ the light ;-) and I'm thinking pull the trigger here I have about $1200 to spend. What do you think? Any advice on how to get the most recent built g30 and any specific upgrade pack companies. I'd greatly appreciate your advice. DAN SF

@@GingerOnWheels Hey my man so I wanted let you know that After subscribing to your channel and watching many of your videos I was inspired by a string of videos you made on upgrading the NInebot max g30 to 48v using the mymaxmods 48v external kit. So I decided to go all in bought the ninebot max on amazon and orfered the external battery kit from mymaxmods. I watched the video you did showing the setup it all seemed very straightforward my father was an electrical contractor for 40 years so I was ready to rock n roll even got my helmet with the custom sticker NineBotSuperMax. Then I got a message from my Max mods saying Hello, a note has just been added to your order: DO NOT PERFORM NINEBOT UPDATES (past 1.7.3) -IT WILL PREVENT YOU FROM BEING ABLE TO FLASH CUSTOM FIRMWARE REQUIRED TO USE YOUR BATTERY PACK. We are working on a patch. Your order has shipped. Just a reminder your battery will ship not charged & you will need to fully charge it before installation. Installation & Firmware can be found here: mymaxmods.com/installation/ Flash firmware using Scooterhacking Utility App (only available on Android) before installation of the kit. Do not use Xiaoflasher, or Ninebot Flasher, regardless of instructions in install video. You will not receive firmware via email or on a flash drive - it is linked on our site (link above or scan the QR code on your pack. Flash the “external kit” firmware. Be sure to set the regen/electric braking to low - this setting is crucial to protect the battery’s BMS. I'm confused now as a first time segway guy. can I try my ninebot max tonight before my external battery gets here?. What is a sure fire way I can stay on the inside loop of upgrades. I take it changing firmware has various steps I'd have to go through and confirm and to accidentally fo that would be difficult? Help!!

I have a e-wheels e2s max, its max speed is 45kmph+. I can ride it for days before I have to charge it. I once drove 55km on one charge! it is about 750$ on e-wheels:) It is the same as the Ninebot max I think.
