Nemophila is a band formed by musicians from different bands. They are all excellent musicians. They can do whatever genre they want, mayu has a rich voice to sing many kinds of music, and they do many different styles in their music. I recommend《adabana》as the next🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻

The guitar solos were done by both Hazuki (Black fingernails) and then SAKI (Red fingernails) Nemophila has actually covered a pop song with mayu (singer) doing pop vocals: NiziU - Make you happy Since you have minions on your shelf, you might like their rendition of: Minions - Banana Song Absolutely tons of great covers and especially originals from this group to check out!

Nemophila - "baby blue eyes" flower, "Rurikarakusa" in Japanese; grows in N-America and is appreciated in Japan (see "Hitachi Seaside Park"). The band was formed in 2019, originally as a "session" brought together by... Mayu - the vocalist (ex- Lipstick band); Haraguchi-san - bass, backing vocals, was Mayu's friend and colleague from Art School (ex - Holderlins band); Tamu Murata - drums, backing vocals, one the most respected session musician in Japan (countless bands), with also her own original carrier; she's also the wife of Akira Yamaoka, musician/composer, known especially for his videogames OSTs, in particular for "Silent Hill"; Saki (ex - "Mary's Blood" band for a decade), she's a "young sacred monster" in J-metal) guitar, backing vocals, and... Hazuki (Li-sa-X / KOIAI bands) - guitar, backing vocals; both, Saki and Hazuki have a lot of experience. Nemophila made an amazing fandom impression during the pandemic, thru KZbin clips...so far about 40 Western/Japanese awesomely bonkers covers, and over 30 original freakishly good songs (singles, EPs, 2 albums - "Revive" and "Seize The Faith"). Discography, alphabetical order: 01. ADABANA - 徒花 - "Fruitless/seedless flower" 02. Another Story (ballad) 03. A Ray Of Light 04. Back into the wild 05. Blooming 06. Breaking Out 07. Change the World 08. Creature 09. DISSENSION 10. ENTEN - 炎天 - "Scorching/blazing heat/sun" 11. Fighter 12. GAME OVER (ballad) 13. Hōzuki - 鬼灯 - "Demon Light" - "Winter cherry" / "Japanese lantern" plant 14. HYPNOSIS 15. Life (ballad - their "official anthem") 16. MONSTERS 17. Night Flight 18. now I here (ballad) 19. OIRAN - "Courtesan" (their first original song, in february 2020) 20. RAITEI - 雷霆 - "Thunder" 21. REVIVE 22. RISE 23. Rock’n’Roll Is? (an homage to famous rock bands/artists; the lyrics/melody and style of play are Easter Eggs) 24. Rollin’Rollin’ 25. Seize the Faith 26. Soaring ~to be continued~(instrumental) 27. SORAI - "Autumn wind" (was supposed to be the original name for the band) 28. STYLE 29. - 群青 30. Waiting for you 31. ZEN ________ - Another Story... written during the pandemic, with the purpose of lifting the spirit; /not part of any official release or performed in any concert... /but - according to Saki - "it's part of 'Yell to Art, Tokyo Project' (started by Tokyo Metropolitan Government to offer place for artists to upload their work...since all lives, concerts, events and exhibitions had been suspended, all venues had been closed"; /was posted on KZbin, on this channel: アートにエールを!【音楽 1ch】; although is no longer there, there are some reactions to it, just search "NEMOPHILA / AnotherStory". - Breaking Out, Creature, Ultramarine... not part of any official release, but they are performed sometimes in the concerts. - Blooming... released only on the official Nemophila KZbin channel, it is performed sometimes in the concerts.

It’s hard to see anything in this video, but NEMOPHILA have two lead guitarists: SAKI and HAZUKI. To get a sense of the personality of all five of these ladies and their chemistry as a band, I recommend the in-studio video for their demo version of Oiran (their best song and show closer): kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6rFY4GqhdyWrsU NEMOPHILA, more specifically is the name of a five-petaled flower which is also their logo, representing the five members. NEMOPHILA also play great Pop, Rock, and Dance music. There are lots of great tracks and videos for you to explore.

Watch your step, there's is a gigantic J-Rock/Metal Rabbit Hole right here. LOVEBITES and NEMOPHILA are at the very top of my list for sure. NEMOPHILA is something very different. The convergence of talent in this band is mind blowing when you get to know their individual histories. Never been a big fan of scream/growl either, but there is a select few that can do it in a way that is melodic and fits perfectly with their band's sound. MAYU's whistle-tone fry scream, and the way she turn's it on and off is music to my ears and puts NEMOPHILA at the very top of that list IMO. Her rock rasp, cleans, and even her kawaii (cute) vocals are top-tier as well. She has become my favorite female rock vocalist. ASAMI takes that trophy for metal. From a comment OvD posted some time ago. NEMOPHILA's heavy songs are HEAVY as hell. NEMOPHILA approach is "jigoku no yurufuwa" which means "hell fluffy cute" or could be interpreted as play heavy as hell while being true to your own nature -fluffy cute as them being ladies. ~JIGOKU NO YURUFUWA~ Play hard like hell and live fluffy 地獄のように一生懸命遊んでふわふわ生きる Welcome to it 🤘😄🤘 🌸✨🌠

Nemophila is pure 🔥🔥🔥. They play a variety of styles and excel at all of them. Mayu is an amazing vocalist and all Nemophila’s musicians are world class (as are Lovebites). I recommend you try Revive or Adabana next. Japanese metal is the best metal. Nemophila and Lovebites are the pinnacle imo but there are many others. I highly recommend you listen to Hanabie and their song “We Love Sweets”.

Nemophila's members are Mayu (vocals), Murata Tamu (drums), Haraguchi-san (bass), Hazuki (guitar), and Saki (guitar). Hazuki and Saki both played solos and did a dual solo at the end (it's a bit of a Nemophila signature). I'll let others suggest more Nemophila songs, so far all of their songs (and covers) are bangers, some not as much as others but that comes down to taste (like they did a cover of Helloween and I'm not a huge Helloween fan). For other bands to check out Hanabie (Ha-Nah-Bee-Aye) start with "We Love Sweets), and TRiDENT go for "Ambivalence" first.

Got here a little late, but some of this may be helpful: Nemophil-a (NOT “Nemophil-i-a) were founded in 2019. They are a supergroup composed of: ex-Mary's Blood guitarist Saki ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki (also plays with Lisa-X) ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and ex-Soramimi drummer Murata Tamu This is one of the bands to watch, no question. They just started in 2019 and are blowing up fast. As you can see from the gang vocals, they don't take themselves too seriously-Hazuki even winks. They almost seem to be enjoying a private joke, that goes "Hi, we're a bunch of cute, fun girls and we are going to rip your face off, and you are going to like it.” Initially, they were just a side project, co-organized by Mayu with some help from Saki, largely to keep busy in the early days of the pandemic. They started by posting metal covers of well-known rock, pop and metal songs. Then they began posting originals, starting with “Oiran” kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6rFY4GqhdyWrsU The viral reaction seems to have convinced them they were onto something potentially big, so they’ve been putting a lot more work into it, including some successful live-streams and an appearance at the annual Japanese female rock festival NAONのYAON. They tend toward hard and heavy, but also do ballads and some pop covers. Drummer Murata Tamu took time off to give birth to her son, and on her return, the rest of the bandmembers gave her a welcome back that resulted in an extremely moving moment captured on live stream: “Life” kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnfRdoyel6p0p8k After Oiran, others to check include "Dissension", which will fry whatever is left of your circuits: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGfEfqiXnd2tbsU and “Raitei”, which means “Thunder” in Japanese, and yes, they bring the thunder: kzbin.info/www/bejne/opmQlYmCgLVmZ5Y More recent drops that showcase their intensity and versatility: “Adabana” kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6m8moKtqNpprbc “Style” kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6HLZnqFg5ulhsU (written by their bassist, Haraguchi-san) “Seize the Fate” kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqXTmH-vmNCJj8k “Rise” kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHWWh4B3opJsn6M Saki is the only one who had been with a breakout band before (Mary’s Blood); Hazuki and Murata-tamu are also considered elite musicians and have worked with a lot of other top artists. Hara-san is the youngest but is clearly a great talent and has been developing in front of our eyes. She has already written several songs for the group. And of course Mayu is quickly establishing herself as a great metal vocalist. They just toured the U.S. (their second go at performing here): I saw them live and they blew the roof off the place.

Japanese metal is the best in the world in my opinion right now. My 2 favorite bands are Jinjer and Nemophila. Jinjer may be something you enjoy as well. Female singer who writes deep and powerful lyrics with a band that is insanely talented. They are Ukrainian and are one of the best I have seen in my 40+ years in metal. Nemophila play a variety of styles so are heavy and light as well. You will get some great 90's style rock/metal sounds as well as other progressive styles that are VERY Japanese. Japanese bands will never be boring in general providing a lot of different sounds. ALso the lead singer doesn't speak English so she is merely mimicking the words. She does a pretty good job though. Its pretty hard to do.

You need to also see Band-Maid 'Dice' MV. Babymetal 'Megitsune' MV. Hanabie 'We Love Sweets' MV. Those are essential bands to at least check out. Basically all female metal bands except that Band-Maid is hard rock. Also Babymetal isn't a band they are a pop fusion metal group. Babymetal invented their own genre of music. 'Cute metal'. But they aren't actually very cute anymore. They are in their mid 20s now. Been around since 2010. Their 4th album just came out and it's pretty much just a badass metal album. I am going to see Babymetal in Seattle in October. I saw Band-Maid in Seattle last October.

Ok, much better! I was pretty negative in your Lovebites reaction - I think there was an element of engage mouth and then catch up with the brain. Here, I appreciated your thoughtful comments. I think you will find Mayu on vocals will amaze you - that scream is addictive and her cleans are magical. They span the metal genre so be prepared for a wild ride. But next - complete the Japanese tier #1 triple: try Band-Maid for the hardest rocking hard rock band on earth today. Start with “Domination” (live) and be prepared for more all female Japanese awesomeness. Peace 🤘

I am not one for the screammo/growling but the musicianship here is evidently at a very high level. Hazuki and Saki are some very talented guitarists. The Japanese bands don't translate. Their school system still teaches the arts and talent is identified and encouraged. They have academies/school with kids as young as 5 yo. Many start music lessons at 3 yo. Also Japan has an infrastructure of clubs, music halls, concert halls, and arenas for bands and groups to perform. For bands and groups to Strat and grow. Also Japan is the #2 music market in the World with more record stores then the US.

This band has become my second favorite band. Right after Band-Maid. I don't mean to say second favorite female band or second favorite Japanese female rock band. And just so you know both of the bands l mentioned are concerned with far more than just a revolution in modern music but in society around the world. This is just one reason lyrics are important. In short these ladies have had to overcome Japanese society just to play. My sole knock on Nemophila and it really isn't a knock, is they are less than four years out the gate and they still have to be a cover band. But that will change because they have the skills and chops to pull it off. Band-Maid is a band with a very similar message but in a much different genre. And Band-Maid writes, arranges, performs, produces and records their own original material. Two band members have full training in being a sound engineer and familiar with all aspects of recording. They being MISA and Akane. This is why Band-Maid is in a class all their own. But mark my words Nemophila's day is certainly coming. Revolution not just for the hell of it. Or as Saiki from Band-Maid sings "We have got to win!" For many of us our collective lives depend upon that winning. Regards.

LOL, they are like Lovebites Evil Twin. I like them so far but I have never been a fan of that screaming. Her singing I like. The screaming, not so much. I have to hear if she does that in every song or just some of them to say how much I like them.
