I beg to differ.....there's no better veteran QB in free agency......Geno is as good as his OC is, if the OC isn't creative enough it's not gonna be as good as it should.....Shane Waldron was more committed and creative in the run game but had no answers in the pass game.....with Grubb it was the opposite.....both had crappy o-lines, that's the commonality

Gotta trust McDonald. The guy had come from a strong winning pedigree and the trenches is a key focal point of his background. I like that he’s not afraid to shake things up I expect significant improvement this offseason and I’d imagine by year 3 we will be a force to reckon with. Believe in the process.

Not sure what Babineaux is smoking but Geno is by far the best option out there. We’re not in a position to draft a top QB and free agency is a total crap shoot. Look at the money that was thrown at Carr and Cousins and how they’ve performed! And if you think the hawks are gonna win the QB lottery like Minnesota did with Darnold you are out of your mind.

I can see them doing what Babs is saying but if not Geno than who? If not DK than who? There isn't big wr in this draft like in years past. Tyler's replacement can be had. With Geno who? JJ McCarty? Justin Fields? Those are probably the best two options. Good luck with that. K9 could be traded as well going into his last year and him not playing like they would want. I like K9 but the rumblings about his game are out there. This offense could look way different.

I hope Geno plays here but on his existing contract for a year. It's reasonable and I think we get the value out of him, and there really aren't good alternatives in a market where like 10 teams need a starter QB and the draft class sucks for them. The perfect situation is Geno starts in 2025 with a new OC and better O line, we draft one of the better guys in April of 2026, that guy sits under Geno for a year like Mahomes and Alex Smith, and by then you have a solid O line and competent play offensive play caller. Then in 27, you still have JSN, maybe not DK and definitely not Tyler.

If John can't fix the O line this offseason, he should be gone. OL seems like his blind spot (Eskridge over Creed Humphries, Joeckel and Tomlinson FA signings, seriously?), it's hurt us for years, and would crush us with a young new QB. Cross was the one good pick, solid but not a pro bowler.

Coaches & QB’s are the GM’s biggest responsibility but Schneider was in a unique situation where Carroll was the final decision maker! Schneider created the Deals then Carroll signed off on them! If you want to argue Schneider blew it signing McDonald & dumping Carroll that’s fine for now! But Howell for a 4th is no big deal! Moving forward we can credit & blame Schneider!
