Yep yep yep! He just thought he was the boss!!! He was such a joy in our lives. He passed at 12 1/2 years last year. He was the joy of my life. By the way, have you ever heard of a talking frenchie. I had one. He absolutely would throw a fit when his Daddy got out to unlock the gate or fill up the car with gas he would yell “I want my Daddy” in a froggy voice. I am not kidding. It sounded just like that. I will always cherish my time with that little boy and he was very funny and entertaining and loving.

Great video! You should make a video of how you trained füli ( house training, walking off leash, not door dash, not bark or chase things such as bikes, running kids, and cars). You mentioned in your website you gave him a very extensive training so I'd like to see what you did.

A few things I do for my french bulldog before going out or to work....: 1. Set new potty pads 2. Give a few treats or could be his meal time 3. Fresh water 4. Turn on a radio for sound 5. Turn on AC or just a fan depending on weather 6. Put toys into play space 7. Turn video can on so I can see what she is doing when Im gone. 8. Go on a quick walk and play fetch gets her tired. 9. Get Coco to put her in her space. 10 Lock gate.

I have a rescue that I picked up two weeks ago that was in a breeding situation. That’s probably been mishandling for the last 3 to 4 years. He was being moved around. He wasn’t fed properly and he has a very rare type of kidney stones and almost died in my house Since I’ve had him in two weeks he’s been hospitalized with 22 kidney stones removed. He has a very rare form of stone and needs a special diet. Now he’s been peeing everywhere because he can’t help it but also he has an infection. He’s been treated for everything but now all he does is cry the second you walk away from him, so nobody’s gonna want to adopt this dog because he has a urinating problem. He doesn’t stop crying and he can only eat one type of food, please help. I tried to save this dog because I thought this woman would want it and it had a UTI but it’s very traumatized with separation anxiety 😢this was a rescue I was trying to rehome no no one is going to be able to deal with him. He’s extremely high maintenance and needs a ton of attention and care. I’m just so sad. I’ve already spent a fortune saving his life. Please advise.😢

I have always found the number one mistake we make as dog owners is that we coddle them on the way home from picking them up from the breeder. We instantly are bonding with them if we hold them all the way home instead of securing them in a crate or a bed away from you. They are most likely going to try and sleep all the way home because they are missing the only home they have known so far. Another mistake we make is letting them sleep with us as a puppy while they are learning. If you practice distance from the beginning they do not build a separation anxiety from you leaving. The crates is your best friend when it comes to training and creating a safe space for them to be until they are at least a year old and familiar with the home you have provided. Any problems that dogs have with behavior and diet is our own creation if you are not knowledgeable about how to care for an animal. Good luck everyone. It is definitely a lot of work to have another life to care for but it is worth it in the end to have the unconditional love they give us. If only humans could learn this lesson for themselves we would be living in a totally different world.

So, what if there is another dog in the house? Will that lessen the anxiety or will there be any at all? Just wondering because I have a 11 year old dog and I'm getting a frenchie in 3 weeks. He will be 2 months so, just wondering will my 11 year old dog take the anxiety away from my 2 month old puppy?

generally yes. They will feel less alone and will have each other to pre-occupy themselves.

After watching this video today I left my 14 week old french bulldog for the first time doing groceries. I knew he was crying like a little baby (he actually sounds like a human baby) the entire time and it was probably much more difficult for me than it was for him :P I was away for 15 minutes and he was SO SO SOOO happy to see me again. Tomorrow I'm going to try 20 minutes.. I have crate trained my dog, he likes to sleep there and he sometimes goes into the crate by him self. Is it a bad idea to crate him when I'm leaving, or should he be free to move around the appartement? Im afraid he will chew an electrical cable and die or something :(
@Peter-Kramm4 жыл бұрын
This is amazing news! I’m glad it worked out and he was happy to see you! I think it’s totally fine to crate him if he’s young and your not gone for to long. As long as he is comfortable and can move around. Personally I let Fuli have free reins to the house when I’m gone. The confidence will come in time.
@Kay-ph6fx3 жыл бұрын
Haha my little frenchie also sounds like an actual human baby when he cries, especially during night time when everyone’s sleeping and no one is paying attention to him😭😂it’s so hard trying not to give him attention cause when he does that because I know if I do he’ll start doing that more often

Great. I don't have the energy for another puppy yet. I do need to come and go a little more then I think my boy is cool with. I did get him a kitten. They love each other and I think they totally keep each other company and stimulate each other. Also teach each other things. My dog wants to clime on window sills and tables now when he sees the cat. The cat chews on dog bones. Its helped. I'm not gone allot just hear and there. But if someone wants company for their dog and not open to another. I think a kitten/cat is a great alternative.

Not much to be honest. I know I have been getting a lot comments on my other video that their dog sheds a lot but I find that the Blues do not shed as much as the standard colours like your fawns, creams, blacks. Also diet has a lot to do with it. I feed Fuli a high quality RAW diet... which I a currently making another video on that, I hope your subscribed to get the notification of that video :)

@@Peter-Kramm by the way, another question - I've read a lot of controversial comments/thoughts - ones say that they smell bad enough distinctly, others say that frencies don't smell almost... Not at all! This is what you should be doing. Give the pup use to their crate and that you will not be attached to them by the hip 24/7. As a pup I wouldn’t exceed more then 2-3 hours and I would work up to time limits.

Please help I have a 6 yr old child too and after 10 weeks she won’t listen or settle her chaotic energy around the dog she’s wished all her life for. I can’t leave them in a room alone for even a quick wee. I’m guilt ridden as he feels like my child too and it’s been the hardest 10 weeks of my life and that is a huge statement. Now I have newly developed crate panic squeaking and panting after all my efforts. I feel child and hubby don’t work with me and my intentions regarding doggy. I’m not listened to or considered most of the time. I’m always worried about either child with dog or dog with child and it’s emotionally mentally and physically draining as I’m constantly cleaning after the 3 of them x
