Thank you so much mate! I'm feel proud of that! I think its mostly well except from the solo, that I learnt by ear, and by the time the video was uploaded I heared again and I realized that it was a crap 😅 but apart from that, its a useful guide! Funny fact: I took part in a covers concert, and we played this song (but this time I was playing bass). The guitar players learned their parts with this video and they didn't know It was me Who was playing hahahaha

Which technique is the one between 1:00 and 1:05? Can someone pass me a tutorial to practice?
@JLRFirewave5 жыл бұрын
I don't think it has a specific name... but I'm not really into picking techniques names so maybe I'm wrong! The fact is that it's just downpicking, playing through different strings, and I'm palmuting only the pedal notes, except from the accents, so that It sounds more dinamic, letting accetns and melodies sound stronger than the rythmic and constant base. Hope it helps! Thanks 4 watching!

Which is better a 7 string or drop tunned 6 string ?
@JLRFirewave6 жыл бұрын
It's hard to answer... It depends on what you're looking for. First of all, you can't reach such a low tone just dropping, so you can't really say it the same. And string width wouldn't be the same either, then when a 7th string you'll get a darker sound, which is going to make it sound a bit different of a standar guitar. I don't personally like that kind of sounds, I understand why people use it, but it can come into conflict with some bass frequences, so you'll have to make the bass even lower... which, in my opinion, is not positive for a song. I see low sounds hard to distinguish, songs without an incredible production can become "blurry": really strong, but less defined. But in the end it all depends on what kind of sound you are looking for, there's not a "better" option, it all depends on your tastes, your goals, and your music style. Hope I've helped you with my answer, I'm not an expert AT ALL, it's my humble opinion, and I may be wrong in some points ^^' But thank you so much for your interest! \m/

WHat is your LTD model?
@JLRFirewave6 жыл бұрын
It's MH-350FR (you can see it in the 12th fret), but I modified it some years ago. I'm not english so I'm going to google the terms or I'll probably screw it up... I changed its ceramic capacitor for a paper in oil one, and I did a 18v battery modification to its active pickups.

What's your rig set up ?
@JLRFirewave4 жыл бұрын
Hi! In this video I think I used my LTD MH350FR connected to a Line6 Spider III head, and I recorded its output with a focusrite scarlet 2i2 audio interface. After that it has some eq and I think that's all. A very simple set up, it worked for recording over real songs but I didn't like how it sounded by itself so I started using guitar plugins instead of the output signal of a real amp (eg. mercuriall reaxis or bias fx), which is easier and more customizable in the mixing phase. Hope it helps!
