I know you are not going to read this comment but I have to right down some impotant things. Most questions you had are already answered if you actually payed attention to the dialogue. The Ten Stonehearts are under IPC, a mega-corporation that is responsible for the economy in the entire universe. Cornerstones are sacred stones that were given to each of the members of the Ten Stonehearts power and authority. The Cornerstones also can be seen as a badge of honor given by their leader, Diamond. The city looking thing is not a city but a planet called Penacony. And the Ten Stonehearts aren't exactly extracting resources from other planets but rather making them under the IPC's control as stated in 0:06 ("Penacony has been re-incorporated into the IPC's distribution of shares"). The Amber Lord is The Aeon (God) of Preservation. The Hammer at 2:47 belongs to the Aeon. Diamond, The Ten Stonehearts and The IPC are all under The Preservation. Your question regarding to what they are voting for has also been answered. Aventurine, The Gambler, broke his Cornerstone which is a big deal and the punishment were either the Ten Stonehearts voting him out or repair the The Cornerstone and let him stay as said at 0:19 - 0:29 ("Thus, Diamond summoned everyone with me [Pearl], as chair, to decide Aventurine's punishment.
