Yuki Kajiura - My Long Forgotten Cloistered Sleep

This past Tuesday, my grandpa passed away in his sleep. We had been taking care of him in his bed for several months and it was heartbreaking to see him go yet a blessing to see him freed from his pain and reunited with his wife. The reason I'm posting this is because I felt like saying that one of the times I was sitting by his side as he slept, I felt it would be nice to keep him company with some soft music. I had bought several songs by Yuki Kajiura on itunes with my Ipad mini and I was playing through that list. Surprisingly, he had been awake for a little bit and heard some of the songs. He asked me about it briefly and I just told him the bare basics of what I knew. Well, he went back to sleep after saying it was real pretty. This was the last conversation I had with him. So, if someone somehow comes into contact with Yuki, maybe by finding a site of theirs, let them know for me that my grandpa enjoyed their music and I'm thankful to them for being such amazing artists.

My condolences. And yes, yuki kajiura is really amazing. You might wanna check out Kalafina, FictionJunction Yuuka. Few of my favourite songs are Akatsuki no kuruma, dreamscape, Everytime You Kissed Me.

A lot of composition and her arrangements sincerely can't be found elsewhere. God bless. Her first composition was at 7 when her grandmother passed away too. For the keen ear, can you hear that the flute is recorded, and the flute player wanted to be there that evening but couldn't come to the concert. Yuki Kajiura is a genius not even losing one player.... A masterpiece even with one person sick at home.

You're not alone. First time I heard this song last year, Emily's version, thought the song just so so but I love the music, it's very unique. Just saw the live version today and I like it much more than Emily's. Think coz of the chorus and they got the feeling more. But, why they didn't show the person with the flute? I really love the flute. It's one of my favorite song now.

Kajiura rarely use flute live, but when the flute player (what's the name, fluter?) plays live, it is supeeeeer awesome! Her name is Rie Akagi, and i love it when she and Hitoshi Konno (violin) have a spotlight together. She plays several times in Kalafina lives, but i forgot about FJ live....
