Hi Myron, is not directly topic related... What you think about G13bb engine swap for Samurai. Also, what is possible to do on G13b EFI to increase power and torq. I live in Europe (Croatia) and those Harley parts are not easy available.

Love the swift GTI 1.3bb Old Suzuki efi is great when it works proper.

@@Zuksoffroad Thanks for reply. It seems that i confused us little bit... I checked for carification: my current engine in '91. samurai is 1.3 efi - g13ba (it runs just fine but lacks power), swift gti is g13b engine (great for samurai but most donor cars are street racers/relly cars that needs completely rebuild), and finally g13bb from jimny (1998-2003) engine that i am interested and asking about.

The issue is different numbers always confusing G13B is USA efi from 91-95 The GTI swift 1.3 is a DOHC and direct bolt in. However, it requires harness and Ecu. What’s the compression on your engine? What size tires and what t-case gears.

@@Zuksoffroad I am also suspect compression to be an issue on my engine. I am planning to check as soon as possible. Sammy is stock and currently is daily driver. I am planning mild modification that includes: 29 or 30 tyres, 4: 16 or 5: 14 t case gears, 2" OME lift (i am already have it, bought used), maby twin stick from Roadless gear. For engine i know that header and hi flow exhaust can squeeze some ponies but i need advice what else can be done. Rust is an issue too, but i love this little truck anyway😁

Off the topic question. How does the intermittent wiper switch work

Bi-metal thermal switch. Same as blinkers. Simple concept. Metal changes shape as current runs thru it. Comes into contact with terminals. Heat dissipated changes metal back to not touch terminals. Current changes shape. Very predictable time to connect and disconnect.

How does the harley carb do milage wise? I lost a lot of milage with the weber when my hitachi finally gave up

Myron I have the mechanical fuel pump deleted will it be better to put a new mechanical pump on and merry it up with the Holly regulator or keep the existing setup I have with the electric pump I have installed that is on the frame?

I have the weber 38, but have some issues on inclines. Flipped it 180 so is bogs down going downhill. How does this perform against the weber 38 outlaw? Running it on my 1.6 8v converted sami.

@Zuksoffroad Perfect! Does the 40mm Harley carb also have a similar throttle response and power compared to the Weber 38? I also live in the Seattle area, so I generally need to warm up my car before driving. Using the weber 38 for 10 yrs, but I'm getting tired of incline related issues. Thanks for your major role in the Suzuki community!

@@20tea take timing light and shine it down the throat of your carb. Rev it. Watch the spray puddles and drips. Very little mist mostly dumping fuel. The 40 works fine but they are not available from Harley anymore only cheap Chinese copies that do not have the patented features of elevation change or constant velocity capability. We have been doing 99% 44 mm screaming eagles for the last couple thousand kits. If you want to keep dumping fuel in your engine with a Weber consider buying the smaller jets for a six cylinder. A few times customers have said they could do a mile or two faster with webers on highway but appreciate non fouling plugs and no stalking at angles. Timing light in a Harley is amazing it’s a tight mist of fuel about the size of drinking straw. Makes for a nice pop in the cylinders.
