John and I went back to the Blue River. We got out our Mysis shrimp patterns and went to hammer town on some Silverthorne born Cutbows. It was a great day but it was snowing like crazy and cold. Check out how we did, cause we smashed em.

I moved and lived along side The Blue River 15yrs ago in Silverthorne and I walk it daily and it is still as beautiful as day one...

I have fished the blue for many years and the DOW redid the river and it fished really good for a few years. Then came the snaggers, people fish with an attracker and a size 10 hook under it and when the fish got for the attracter then they snag with the big fish and act like they are really good fly fisherman.. that's bull shit.. if you can't do it right don't do it at all.

I make fun of him for that all the time ;) He's careful but generally most people will say not to. All his fish have been just fine. It's not really about lipping a fish like that (think about bass fisherman) it's about how straight their jaw remains.

The Blue has gone down hill big time in the last 3 years. Thanks to DOW and tomany people over fishing it day and night. Sad!!!!!
