Ich weiß nicht ob du das noch liest, aber in dem Text geht es um Freundschaft und das man füreinander da ist. Der Titel bedeutet Übersetzt "Gib mir deine Hand, Freund". Das Lied bekam eine besondere Bedeutung dadurch das es kurz nach den Attentaten im Osloer Regierungsviertel und der Insel Utøya im Gedenkgottesdienst für die Opfer aufgeführt wurde (woher auch diese Aufnahme stammte) und einfach Symbolisieren dass nur Hass solche Taten geschehen lassen und man sich in Freundschaft die Hand reichen soll, damit so etwas nie wieder passieren kann.

I watch this over and over again. Helene sings more in this genre, and I LOVE it, I wish Kurt would too. Cover songs are nice, but he is way too talented to settle for that. José Luis: Well spotted, but I'm afraid the Irish air of the song is The Moorlough Shore. The Irish one Give me your hand (Tabhair dom do lámh) was written in the 17thC by Ruairí Dall Ó Catháin. A lovely performance by both singers; haven't come across Kurt before but am familiar with Helene (I especially like her performance of Mit Landa). The air is out of copyright (if it ever was in it) so the song writers are quite entitled to use it, but it would be nice to indicate where it came from. Of course, it could have originated in Norway and was brought to Ireland by the Vikings from Norway (Na Dubh-Ghaill)
