Mysore Painting is a form of classical South Indian painting, which evolved in the Mysore city of Karnataka. Mysore paintings form a significant tradition of classical south Indian paintings. These paintings are famous for their elegance, peculiar usage of colours and the stress on detailing. It requires tremendous hard work, patience as well as extraordinary expertise and proficiency to make a piece of Mysore painting.

mysore painting :- these painting were patronised by the rulers of the mysore province and continued in the British period too. the major theme of the mysore painting is the depiction of hindu god and goddess the unique part of these paintings is that they had two or more figures in each painting and one figure predominant all the other in size and colour. furthermore even the technique msking these painting is very different from the north indian styles. they use the gesso paste which is mixture of zinc oxide and arabic gum. this gives a particular base to the painting that develops sheen on the background. they counter it with the use of muted colours that are not so bright so as to counteract the background.

no...., there r some different b/w Tanjore n Mysore paintings , tonjore paintings consist of stones stated with gold but Mysore art contain only gold work, in Mysore painting u can see more designs like the empty spaces is filled with flowers criper design , fr eg. on clothes of god u can see embroidery designs but in Tanjore it is absent ....

This is Tanjore Painting famous from a place called Thanjavur (Tanjore) in Tamil Nadu. It has nothing to do with Mysore which is in Karnataka. Please do proper research before posting any videos.
