The Lallantop is in Karnataka to cover Elections. We were in Bangalore, so we visited the very famous Mysore Sandal Soap factory and recorded the making of Mysore sandal soap. Mysore Sandal Soap is a brand of soap manufactured by the Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL), a company owned by the government of Karnataka in India. This soap has been manufactured since 1916, when Krishna Raja Wadiyar IV, the king of Mysore, set up the Government Soap Factory in Bangalore. Madam As you mentioned in your video it is made with 100% pure Sandal Oil Sandal oil cost 175000-200000 lac rs per ltr if they are adding only 1% it will 1750-2000 per kg oil only Where as 150grm soap cost is Rs 82 It mean per kg finished soap cost with MRP is Rs 546 per kg How is it possible They must be adding few drops per kg of samdal oil rest is perfume Its all gimic

@candidt8634 - no soap can be made from 100% Sandalwood, every soap needs a soap base then any fragrance can be added to make end product in whatever shape you want, when they say 100% sandalwood oil, it means no other fragrance, just pure sandalwood added to soap. As someone pointed out, the majority of industrialists and businessmen in India are from Gujarati or Marwari community so you stop buying any goods /services from that community? Be realistic, and don't lose your common sense by following NDTV and its allies.
