it comes from the Arabic word "Assasioon" which means "The Main Ones" or "The Most Important/Essential people in a group", the original word is "Assass" which means "fundamental or the root of things". Hashasheen begins a completely different letter in Arabic close to "KH" KHasheen. so I believe this conclusion mentioned in the Video is a little off the mark! ;)

no, hash'a'sheen (or "those who hashish" those who use hasheesh) in Arabic people still call pot smokers hash'a'sheen... not the name hassan... i could be wrong but im like 99% sure because i speak arabic
