My family home was only about two miles away from Galley & Warden Hill & so for the first half of my life I had a great view from my bedroom window. For the last 18 years I have literally lived at the foot of Warden/Galley Hill. It's higher than it looks from the ground. Great views from the top for miles around & I can see into my garden. I must admit I only recently found out about it's history. The funny thing is I've always joked to my dad about me hearing a beast up on the hill especially when I happen to be hanging washing out on the line in my back garden in the middle of the night. lol

I'm going to take that as definite evidence that the ghost dog is alive and well.

You actually can see the airport really well from the top of Warden Hill which is a bit higher, so the view is hidden from where you were standing, but i'll let you off. lol

Thanks for that, Nathaniel. Glad you mentioned Russia. I checked out Wikipedia where it mentions he Anglia peninsular, in Germany: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglia_(peninsula). Within that peninsular there is a place called Mittelangeln (Middle Anglia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mittelangeln_(Amt). So if that is middle Anglia, this would mean that even Lowestoft would, properly speaking be in West Anglia, and East Anglia would be . . . somehwere in Russia!
