Hey Burf, I watch all the time but my first comment. We dig your show, love that you are just a regular guy, no gimmicks, a little goofy and funny. I collect vintage 12 inch GI Joe (and a lot of 1990s-2000s Joes) and dabble in some other stuff but just love old toys and nostalgia. I like and agree with your comments about kids and creativity. My two youngest do the channel with me and we customize, the also bot write stories/scripts for our channel and in for school/fun! I just wanted to say hello and say we like what you do. The story you read is the exact plot of the movie "The Giver " with Jeff Bridges. The names of the characters are even the same. The Giver is a 2014 movie.

I know exactly how your day went Burf! I'm the 'car guy' of my friends/fam, so I get dragged a couple times a year to go car shop. Every since the post-COVID bubble popped, the dealers are straight playing games now. If you're paying cash, they basically don't want to deal with you because they'll make more financing someone else... They tack on bullshit too, dealer had a charge for "catalytic converter protection" on an EV!! It doesn't even have an engine!!😡😡Forget anything 'cool' you're gonna pay so much in market adjustment premiums. Ugh, sorry for the vent 😄

After spending hours there, I ended up walking out. CarMax - didn’t like the high pressure I was getting to lock in a loan with them. They wouldn’t let me take the car for a test drive until I filled out the loan application and locked in a loan. That was a red flag 🚩 to me, so I stood up shook his hand and said, “We’re done here.” And walked out. He didn’t have to tell me twice. It was just a draining day. On the way home I called USAA and secured my own financing through them so I don’t have to deal with anymore BS from the other dealers I’m going to visit. I got a nice loan amount and good interest rate …but you’re right, it’s getting kind of sleazy car salesman out there.

@@80sToysRoc Sucks to hear CarMax plays the same games now. They used to be a recommendation of mine if you wanted something fancier/luxury, because their MaxCare warranty was really good. CarMax was fine last time I was there, but I think that's because one of the cars we wanted to look at the rear seat floor, was completely filled with water. Like "please, please, don't tell anyone." 🤣🤣 Very smart walking away and calling USAA. Them and local credit unions will definitely get you the best rates. When you go look again, you'll probably get "well let me try and see if we beat their rates" from the sales guy. You can if you want, but its probably just a time waster. The finance manager can absolutely make some calls push the banks, but there's only so much they can do.

Dude that mosasaur goes for like $30 plus it's good to fight Godzilla. That's where mine is going. Definitely the 3 p's 😂 We did really good so far. Got a vintage gi joe devil fish a funko ecto 1 with Winston a 02 tmnt motorcycle and some good vhs. Looking for X men tomorrow at Ross. That note book is cool but a bit creepy to have in a way but im nuts and always think of sad story on how things get to thrift....
