I’ve said this before. If I die and my house is left behind like this it means my family was not interested. I’m cool with explorers. I’m even cool with taking souvenirs. Just please no graffiti and don’t leave poop in the toilets. All the best, Ethan. Been following you for several years.

This house was well lived in and well loved. I am by myself so I can understand how things can go downhill when you can’t afford it or afford somebody to come in and help repair. If you don’t have any family or friends or a good support group I just kind of breaks my heart because you’re going in and out the rooms of someone who actually lived in this house, not too long ago and did their best in trying to live in it the way it was 😟. Thank you for sharing you take care and be safe🫶🏻❤️🤠

Very cool mid-60s home! I think the Streisand album came out around 64-65. “Camelot” was a Broadway musical starring Julie Andrews and Richard Burton. That album came out around 61-62 and I have read that it was a favorite of President Kennedy. Englebert Humperdinck had many hits in the mid sixties and a TV variety show in 69/70. He still performs in concert to this day!

Wow! So many cool 60’s features. Love those doors. Love the fireplaces. Love the cool light fixtures. A really classy house in its day. Love the huge property. Most of all I love the style, the architecture of the time period. What a shame water is getting to it and destroying it. I would have loved the chance to restore it while updating it just a bit. Some of the bits of treasure should be rescued and I think former owners would be pleased that someone took an interest and saved them like all of those classic record albums. I don’t condone “stealing” but it’s different if you’re rescuing something that was once important to someone from a landfill. Society is losing letting so many homes be wasted. I would rather live in this classic 60’s home restored than in a brand new ugly gray concrete monstrosity that would replace. Sorry for being so opinionated but it makes me sad to see lifetimes just wiped out by evil excavators. Ethan thank you for sharing this extra cool place. Maybe some disposable gloves and mold blocking masks would come in handy! Take care of yourself be well and stay safe!!

Hi Ethan!❤ I have a question, why are all the basements in Canada always flooded? That would’ve been a beautiful home without all the water damage 😔
@beckyjcyphers19123 ай бұрын
I think it has to do with the electricity being turned off. That also turns off the sum pump. So excess water doesn't get drained out. Not on all the houses but most .

The fireplaces were very nice also. Too bad the basement was flooded, there's no doubt it was probably really cool too! One of my most favourite explores to date. A real epic story with all the personal stuff left behind. Not only was this guy into collecting vinyl and watches but was heavily into computers as well. A previous explorer’s vid on here found six IBM PC’s and related equipment down in the basement. The water had dried but it is such a shame as everything was caked in mold. There was also a 1980’s Zenith TV and a super cool CCM exercise bike from the 70’s. I just don’t see why a bumblebee would want to chase you Ethan. You are by far the most gentle explorer on here.

I also LOVE synthesizers, watches, vintage items and dolls. :) I had a mental image of what I would do with EVERY room if I moved into it with my stuff. I would put my office, husband and guest room at one end of the house and I would stay in the other end. I would take up the MASTER and living room for my personal space and would have fun decorating with my stuff along with the old stuff that came with the house. I LOVE the old antique ornate formal look. :) LOVE the video and thanks. Oh don't feel bad about dropping things because I get the dropsies also. lol

Great explore Ethan! Shame that it’s been neglected as I’m sure it would have been a great house in its day! Too bad the basement was flooded, that would have been cool to see! Those LP records were interesting,the one you dropped was James Last, a German Big Band Composer whose first album was in 1965 and did instrumental themes of the top hits of the day. Your generation wouldn’t have heard too much about him. I have quite a lot of his albums. Look him up on Wikipedia, it’s quite interesting. Thanks again for the video, appreciate your time spent on these visits! Keep safe and please wear gloves if you touch stuff👍

@craiggillett59853 ай бұрын
Yes! Gosh you get some great finds. Gorgeous walls of glass looking into the backyard, isn’t it strange how these old windows have that odd way of sectioning the panes, I wonder if that was due to limits to technology and not being able to produce single walls of glass? Anyways, that frigging fireplace in the living room, I’d love something like that in a house I owned. Had to laugh at that lavish over the top black bathroom. Only enough that black theme pattern wall paper is making a come back as we leave the era of generic beige grey and white behind us. Nice dining room, would have been formal, probably hardly used. The interior glass doors are also beautiful, bevelled glass is incredibly expensive, I hope the developer has someone to come and save that stuff. It’s gets great prices on the retro market. It never ceases to amaze me how people move out and leave so much crap behind, here in New Zealand 🇳🇿 if u did that you’d forfeit any deposit you’d paid if you were renting, so people tend to clear everything. I can’t believe how much good stuff is still there , the furniture and paintings and mirrors. Amazing. Ohhh that basement is gross. I bet there’s a bar, fireplace….. you know luxe 1963 ish. Great find, loved it.

I bet that there's hardwood flooring under all that nasty carpet. In the 50's-60's, new ranch homes had wood floors, but covered them up with carpet because it was trendier. Wood was considered old-fashioned back then.

Yes the fan is very nice and so is the stone fire place, beautiful chandelier in the dining room and the rose in the middle holding the light is also very nice, nice glass doors. The cha cha cha record is more interesting. those vinal has interesting old music. Chita has no hollowed spot. Must have been the chair to their dining room. Beautifully decorated house very nice out door space sad that the house was allowed to go to wreck and ruin. Thanks Ethan great video.
