For some context in regards to the final scene with Barney entering in his computer journal and the music. Neil Patrick Harris' big break in Hollywood was he was the lead in a series in the late 80's called Doogie Howser MD. He was a child prodigy who became a doctor at the age of 14 and every episode would end with him entering into his computer journal the life lesson he learned for the episode. The music is the same also.

I was a Doogie fan in middle school and huge HIMYM fan in high school and find it funny I never realized who Neil was until the series ended because he looks NOTHING like his teenage self.

This episode is so niche that people aren’t mentioning the song with the montage is One Shining Moment that is played at the end of every national championship game in men’s college basketball that does a montage of the entire tournament.

the lil side plots for me is why i think himym is better than FRIENDS. Himym isn’t just hinging on who’s the mother or a will they won’t they. They constantly introduce new plots that become actual plot threads. It’s rare for a sitcom to feel like it has a start middle and end but himym kinda feels that way. These characters do not stay stagnant like other shows they very much grow and evolve with the show

For the first few seasons Barney is just awful, but over time he starts to get slightly better I think this was definitely the first step to him kind of acknowledging all the bad he's done to different women, obviously he doesn't reach that point until later in the show where he stops his conquest and stops his List, he said this that he doesn't make a list he only takes photos but he actually does have a list which is something we figure out later on, it's another important plot point, there's always little sprinkling throughout the different seasons of him slowly moving into like an actual relationship role and then they just destroy the whole thing at the very end of the show which is really unfortunate because he has a lot of character growth and I like how throughout the show we slowly see that character growth in different ways and it's very subtle until he ends up actually in a relationship or several relationships actually I think he has like three girlfriends in the span of the show and it's All thanks to that character development and character growth from his realisation of how he treated woman and like I said this is kind of the first step to that. Also I really love who his stalker turns out to be, it makes a lot of sense and it's really funny and it also kind of ties into one of Ted story lines as well and I really like that about it, it's kind of funny and silly but I do like that they actually acknowledge it later on and tired in with something to do with Ted and have it be like really meaningful later on as it ties into a girl that Ted dates, so I do really like that balance of it, but you'll just have to wait to see how it turns out and who it turns out to be.

@@BeccaB529 First of all I'm visually impaired and use speech to text and I can't really read what I've written because of the type of visual impairment I have because I can't really understand the words properly so I use speech to text not only because I can't see the words but also because it's hard to read them, Because the font is really small on KZbin, I use speech to text so I have to literally speak things like the commas and the other punctuation, I also sometimes forget to space things out, I really don't appreciate the rude comments I often get I completely understand why they exist and why you are trying to have an attitude or be playful or whatever it is, and I understand that it's a lot to read and hard to follow along with I've been doing my best with it but I understand that sometimes I don't really think about it when I'm using speech to text and I end up with words spelt wrong or said wrong or forget punctuation or whatever it might be, I understand it if you've never come across someone who is blind or visually impaired and you don't understand how we use things like cell phones, I know there's a lot of able-bodied people out there that don't seem to comprehend the whole voice over/speech to text situation, people who think that blind people don't use social media that they don't know how to use KZbin and all of that but it's not true we do use social media and you know we use things like VoiceOver or speech to text to write out our comments, I understand that for a lot of people that can be hard to understand and I apologise for that especially since I have a wide vocabulary verbally but not Written due to my vision impairment, I also know that a lot of the time I forget commas and also spell words wrong as I said. I'm really sorry about that I try to speak the most punctuation I can but it doesn't always work out and I've started putting disclaimers at the top of my Comments but it just makes them longer and some people just don't care regardless, so I think what you want I am really sorry that my comment was hard to read I am truly sorry about that as I am trying my best. But I can understand how it could be Overwhelming, I'm so used to having voice over read me comments and things so for other people who may not be able to read as well or who might struggle with the lack of punctuation and things like that it's harder for you to read, even people who are fully sided, I do recommend using VoiceOver every now and then it's really easy to access there is a similar thing for people who don't have iPhones so you can just look at it it should be in your settings somewhere and you can use it to read my comment if you're that worried about what it says if you're having trouble reading it, again I truly am really sorry I don't mean to offend or upset people with my long comments or make it harder for them I know how much I get frustrated when I can't read something and have to use VoiceOver to have it read to me so I completely understand if I'm causing the same issues through my lack of punctuation or spacing. Like I said I am truly sorry and I hope that you can understand where I'm coming from, but I have to say I really don't appreciate the nasty comments about it there's a lot nicer ways to go about saying something like this rather than making a dig at someone even if it is just a joke, I know that you didn't know that I was disabled and like I said I don't always put it at the top of my comments anymore, but I'm happy to do that if it would stop people from Commenting things like this, I know you think it's a joke or you think you're being funny but to me it's just not cool, as writing is something I struggle with and spelling of words is something I really struggle with and because the font is so small on KZbin it's really hard for me to go back in correct spelling mistakes and figure out where things have been placed, which is why I have to try and get it perfect all the time but it doesn't always understand the words that I say so I end up with misspelled words and things like that, which again I am really sorry about but hopefully you can understand where I'm coming from.

@ Well I'm a little old fashioned. I like actually taking with people ant having real depressions and conversations, so I write how I would talk in person and I'm pretty chatty, especially about specific topics I enjoy talking about. So because of that when I write messages to people I write long messages I write the way I would wanna actually talk and interact with people, but in today's world everyone just writes single line sentences or you know barely communicate with each other no one wants to call and have thrown conversations everyone just wants to text and obviously when it comes to comments they're a little bit different because you can't have a audio comment, but that's why my comments are so long . I like giving my thoughts and opinions and sharing things, but because of my speech to text I have to write out the punctuation like I have to actually speak out commas and things like that if you can imagine that, so sometimes I just forget to add in the punctuation or sometimes The speech to text doesn't understand the words that I'm saying, which results in misspellings of words etc as well, so I hope you can understand. I might be young but I have a bit of an old-fashioned mindset of people actually sitting in chatting with each other and sharing their views and opinions and it's okay if someone has a different opinion to you you can just understand that people have gone through different things and have different experiences and that's how you learn and grow and you should be allowed to spoil your opinionwithout criticism, I know that's pretty wild to say in a comment section when people on the Internet aren't super nice, but now you know.
