@@WildcatMTG Yeah it is insanely well made. Your Mystery Booster box is only the third one I have seen opened so far, but even without a foil I think it's the best box. The other two didn't get a good foil and didn't pull the quality of white border or future sight cards you did. It is kind of funny though that all three of you pulled the WB Jace.

It’s really funny because so many cards were clearly designed with the black backdrop and look like a fish out of water with the white frame. But I think people will also seek out the “ugly” aesthetic too.

I wasn't sold on Mystery Boxes the first go round until I saw PoA crack one and it's just pure nostalgia. For everyone, since it covers magic's history. I really like White Borders (yup memberberries) but I have said here they look a tad off. Still cool. Since I wasn't around for the Future Sight Borders I gotta say I really like them! This is just a fun product all around and you even got some good stuff! I agree though, no foil is super lame!

Nice opening, congrats!! Definitely some sweet hits in there with cool treatments! Seems like a really fun product to open. I'll never forget when I got back into Magic in 2020, ordered some random packs including a single Mystery booster. Popped a Mana Crypt from it, I've never opened another Mystery booster and don't think I will!! Although maybe I should order a single booster of this new set just to see lol. The cardboard gods knew exactly how to get me hooked!

This product is fun and seeing surprises as folks post pictures of what they opened. I was pleasantly surprised that there were a handful of cards that will likely hit the $15-20 mark. Really like that foils are rare. Really like the cards that have few/no reprints, although expect those to hold the least value over time.

so far we have identical standard rares/mythics but our white border/future frames are totally different. A part of me is like ooo that's pretty and awesome and I think about what I got and can't complain hehe. The way I think about it is would I put it in my happy / unhapy piles and pretty sure all your shifted/wb would be in my happy pile I think.

oof, sorry aobut the *sopiler censor* but that white border pile is fire and exponentially better than mine, similarly your common/unc had many more hits. We ended up having roughly 75% same standard rare/mythics. Future sight border, you probably pull ahead with a very prominent exception, but I got a few I *really* like such as counterbalance and the dark ritual looks *goooood*. Also got some womps with wb environmental sciences and some other kitch stuff like a portal vanilla bear and some core set planeswalkers that I think were only in the special packs but aren't really playable so you didn't care too much that you wouldnt' pull them. Neways, enjoy the fire that you did get :)

I love the randomness of the Mystery Boosters - although I don't like the white borders at all, and I'm glad we've moved to predominately black borders. Although, I think really they should be printing stuff with the silver borders for stuff which is not... for normal play.

The only thing I'm upset about with foils being rare is that 15 cards ONLY come in that foil slot. The weatherlight crew, command tower, arcane signet, foil and a few others. otherwise, i LOVE that foils are really meaningful with this set.

Yeah, it’s 5% to replace the Futuresight slot so it should equate to an average of one per box but it’s still percentages. Sorry to hear they didn’t work in your favor either.

Is this going to be TSR level of you should get a thing and if you don't get the thing that's where the a lot of the multiplier goes? We'll have to keep this in mind for future stats.

Yeah, I was obviously bummed to not get a foil but overall I was really happy with this box. Got a lot of cards I was happy to add to my collection.

Surprised when i opened all mine and managed to pull an oracle of alpha foil, managed to sell it today for 600$. absolutely insane pulls in mine and even the collector boosters were great hits. never got lucky before in boosters but stoked to be able to build another deck and enjoy the other cards i got that i can use for future decks and builds

Ooof… the foil thing is rough. I get that it’s a percentage so while the percentages favor roughly one foil per box that it does mean some boxes won’t have one and some boxes may have more than one. Nothing we can do about that. That said, if you didn’t have the collectors packs in your box you should 100% reach out to WoTC customer service. I’ve reached out to them about damaged products in the past and generally had very positive experiences. Good luck to you!

Question did you just get mystery booster 2 or did you get festival in a box? I wonder if that has any determination on foil or not. Plus I know festival comes with a secret lair and 3 collectors booster packs. I can’t wait to open mine! Great video!

It was from a festival in a box. The Mystery boxes aren’t available for retail purchase. I opened the collectors packs in another video and put the secret lair in my closet. Good luck on your box!

It’s a 5% chance that it will replace the Futuresight slot in a pack. Mathematically it’ll average to just over one per box. But it’s still percentages. Just weren’t in my favor this time. That said, the rest of the box was exceptional so I am still happy with it.

Most boxes should have one. For whatever it’s worth, while not having a foil was lame, my box was exceptional. So it is possible to still have a really good box without the foil.

I think the Festival in a Box was pretty decent value overall with the 3 collector packs and secret lair accompanying the MB2 box. What people are charging for them on the secondary market is where I say “ehhh I’m good.” We’re going to find out a lot more about these prices after next weekend. Magic Con Vegas will have on demand MB2 drafts. I’m curious of MB2 boxes will be available for purchase.

@@WildcatMTG 100% how I felt. At the same time, I do agree that it's cool to see foils be a bit more rare, and thus feel more special. But when the product itself is already exclusive/hard to get one's hands on, not pulling a foil is extra salty. It should've been similar to TSR: higher chance at "regular" foils in each pack and one guaranteed foil future sight frame per box.

I came out of today relatively unscathed. Of all the jeweled lotuses, mana crypts, or docksides I have opened for myself I kept only 1 mana crypt and 1 jeweled lotus just to be able to say I have one. Neither of them are in decks. I have 3 docksides. Only one is in a deck.
