It's so amazing how knowledgeable you are to be able to spot these incredible fossils. And it's also amazing the painstaking labor that's needed to find the hidden creatures without causing damage. It has to be incredibly difficult to maintain composure.

Wow, was literally just getting ready to head for bed when I saw the notification, had to click. Very cool find, love the nautiloids and ammonites. Was sweating bullets when you took the saw and chisel to it, but I know you know what you're doing! Pretty darned cool!

Hi Daniel. It's a type of nautiloid fossil, if you google Nautilus (one of the surviving species) you will see what they looked like. This is most likely an arturia species of Nautiloid which is extinct.

Awesome Bruno! I go out most weekends and just walk really far and look at any interesting rocks. You have to be in sedimentary rock, so not volcanic. Concretions are common in my area, but other places have limestone which will have fossils in it.

What's the liquid you use to remark the color of the fossils you found? Here in Mexico there are some ammonites but there are turned almost entirely into rock, so I want to enhance their shape... Thanks in advance and keep the excelent work!! I love your videos!!

I'd love for you to narrate some of the scenes, the recording is great but the time lapse isn't ideal especially for savory parts, also the music is a little too upbeat and unsettling, part of why I watch is your voice and the noises of your surroundings are relaxing, aside from fascination. It's also called paraloid and is a plastic that dissolves in acetone and penetrates the fossil. The acetone evaporates and leaves the plastic behind which can be removed again if needed
