Imagine if that was a relative he told. That is what the family liaison officers are for. Confirm what has been found, identify and then leave people to go and approach the family. Telling people a body has been found is not the correct procedure. He could have said that he was not able to give any details at this stage, but would prefer it if people would move back a bit and try not to publish any photos out of respect for the family in case they got to know something through social media that might not be correct. There are ways of wording things that mean people will see the point and show some decency as I am sure Charlie V would. I really do not think he would be the type to start sending pictures and videos out of a body before a family was told. As for that vile police officer, no wonder he just gets sent out as an extra or does admin.

Maybe they could help some of the other search teams that can't find a body despite expensive equipment. Odd how this person was found almost instantly, but a similar case took about 25days - or maybe it took 24 days to put the body in the water to be found. Who knows, that case went all quiet.

Dear Charlie, what you should have done is taken a dog for a walk down by the canal and you'd have probably stumbled across the body way before the police. As we all know, people walking dogs always find the body first. I know from experience. Disclaimer: I've never found a dead body. Yes, very odd isn't it that areas can be searched using different methods by different people over time and then suddenly - a dog walker spots something unusual near to a wall by a main road for example and a body is suddenly found 25 days later! People usually contact newspapers and complain to cause a diversion at that point and we never hear anything more. The original investigators are discredited and anything they do come up with later is rubbished by everyone.
