I love this show. I find it very deep and meaningful.

I love Mystery Lodge. Saw it yesterday for the first time in years. I still get wigged out when the storyteller disappears. Well, first he appeared out of nowhere. Later, went from standing center stage to seated off to the side. Then disappears at the end, leaving his walking stick to fall. Can't figure it out. All in all, a beautiful, moving, spiritual few moments with some humor to boot. Universal and eternal words of wisdom. And gorgeous imagery in the special effects. Thanks!

I agree that is one of the most moving scenes. My guess is that just before the cane is left standing, he gave his summed up pearls of wisdom, and then is heard gently laughing as an owl flies away. Presumably that is him transformed and passing away into the heavens.

First time I've ever been to Knotts was with my papa "grandfather" and out all the rides my family wanted to go on I went with him to see this show, loved it and to this day I make it a must before I leave.

I agree. The story was actually told by a tribal indian it's a story that has meaning to it. and depth. Spiritually it also has a lot of meaning.

This is the best thing at Knotts. Almost worth the price of admission by itself. In fact I've gone in just to watch it. I can watch it over and over again. Fantastic lesson in morals, history, and culture. It should be required viewing for all intermediate schools in Southern California. Thanks to Knotts, the Native tribes, and Corporate sponsorship. Long live Mystery Lodge!

I love this so much -- just saw it today in fact. I have always found it very moving. It was about the last major attraction Knott's added before they were bought out and the full assault of the roller coasters began to erode the charm of the old place. I'm so glad this attraction has survived.

Although this brought back awesome memories of seeing the show, seeing it on video just can't capture the magic of that show. For just a few minutes, a lifetime's lessons are taught, if you pay attention. The simple joys of life he describes everyone should be able to relate to. I was amazed at how convincing it was though. Even though you know it was just lighting tricks, at least in some small part of you inside, you believed it. That's the magic.

Went to Knotts Berry Farm 25 years ago while visiting my brother in LA from the UK , my sister in law and her family took us there. We had a great day on all the rides. We all went in here to see this show, I came out speechless. Thanks for posting.

From time to time i come back to this story on youtube. I last saw it live 8/3/2011. it is proof that nothing is permanent including this show. Time is a trickster first you have time and then it is gone. I hope this comment helps preserve this video.

very awesome, thanks for recording... it's been over 15 years since i seen this, i was always amazed how he told the stories. I'm Alaskan Native and the stories are pretty much correct, and they still tell them in some southern villages today. Alas due to tv's and movies, and other things, our culture is slowly dying away.

I wasn't sure because the building is very big. That's why I thought he might be above and the screen is tilted =audience/ actor. the / is the direction of the screen.

Thanks so much for posting this. I saw the Spirit Lodge at Expo 86 when I was a kid and it blew me away. Now I'm trying to show it to my own son but of course it's long gone, so I'm thrilled to hear that almost the identical show was recreated here, and I was very happy indeed to see your video of it! As a Canadian and what with needing a passport these days and all, I don't know if I'll ever have a chance to bring him to see it so this is likely the closest we'll get. Thanks for sharing it.
@Sean_from_the_heights4 жыл бұрын
Did you ever get them to see it!
@KryssLaBryn4 жыл бұрын
@@Sean_from_the_heights Nope. Still need a passport and those are still expensive (and tricky to get if you don't know someone who is not a relative who already has one). :( Plus, well... it's 2020 now, so. Probably not any time soon, either.

@Ryan120420 dont worry about it leaving any time soon. its used as a haunt maze, and its very popular ( it usually gets a full house, and sometimes they will use the extended line during additional shows.

Man i love this show sooo much. It touched my heart. I remember seeing this when i was 7 and I went back there not long ago and i sat next to a kid that looks 8 or 9 and through out the show he was like its fake and all projectors. So it made me realize that kids just don't have a sense of imagination ANYMORE. =*( {their just into technology.}
