On one hand, I don't think the portrayal of Jessica in the original version of the ride was all that sexist. Yes, she gets kidnapped at the beginning, but at the end of the ride, she saves herself and is fighting the Weasels. Much like the movie, she's a subversive of how women were portrayed in the 30s and 40s. Ooon the other hand, this is supposed to be a semi-sequel to the film, right? So maybe in between the film and this she decided to become a Toon Detective herself to prevent another "ACME Incident" from happening again and to continue playing a bigger role in Toon Society since, if Betty Boop's line "What a lucky girl" is anything to go by, she's most likely seen by the other Toons who aren't her adoring husband as just a singer at the Ink and Paint Club. So this is still in character for me. And, while I get people not liking that they covered her iconic body, I like that her detective outfit is Dick Tracy based, continuing the 1940s aesthetic. So both versions work for me

been on this ride a few times in the many many years......and only just noticed, there is no mention of the movie's antagonist, Judge Doom. I guess his presence would be much more scary for what is essentially a jovial ride.

I think this is supposed to take place after the movie. Also, Eddie and Dolores aren't here either. I think they just wanted to focus on the Toons. Well, Toons that look like Toons throughout the movie and aren't in disguise the whole time. Lol.

Why am I not surprised that Woke Disney chose to completely censor Jessica Rabbit in a trench coat when that's completely out of character for her. Jessica Rabbit is supposed to be sexy on purpose, which explains her line, "I'm not bad! I'm just drawn this way." Also, she has a personality beyond just being hot. But no, Disney chose to disrespect her character in favor of politics. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️🤦

That last weasel on the ride used to have green dip spray from the hose, then pause as it turns towards you and I remember as child on this ride terrified it was going to spray on me! Now it seems like that effect is broken and they’re just never going to fix it.

1:16 Not sure if it was from before the original lyric notes were auctioned but Queens "Bohemian Rhapsody" was originally titled "Mongolian Rhapsody" I think. He crossed out the title in those same notes and replaced it with the song title we all know today.
