Thanks , but it's very painful for me living with the fact that I knew day one when shuttle Columbia lifted off and cleared the launch tower that the stripping off piece of foam has 100% damage at least the few ceramic insulation tiles and if they don't do extra vehiclar activity and repair it ,it's 100% sure Columbia will turn in to pieces during reentry hard face when temperature of outer airframe reaches 2000 Celsius ...I was sure of it and I couldn't do anything .I as well keep accusing me I could had done this or that ...

These 7 astronauts wasn't as well not aware or alert really ,if I could know why wouldn't they had known it ? Once they could reach to outer wing area of shuttle and found the damages ,if found beyond repairing damage then in emergency this shuttle could had bring to international space station and dock ,then 7 astronauts could had been ferry home in two spell to back home by using Russian SL-4 soyuz space craft ...there were plenty oxygen and food availabile for them for wait .

Very slim chance to see manned flight getting on the moon , Space X can do it but for crossing safely from the lethal radiation of Van Allen radiation belts , they have to use liquid fuel as a shelter but ...but it will make NASA unclothed , people will question then how did Apollo manned flight went to the moon without using even a 1 M.M thick shelter ? Space x has to use 9 feet atleast thick liquid shelter . So spaceX and Elon musk may not proceed to offend NASA ...got it ?

oh my god... its so horrible..i remember it was my school days and it was evening here in India when the accident actually happened. I had gone on a hill top for trekking and felt like i heard a big blast sound from sky. is it possible it was of Columbia?
@rajeevshagun74097 жыл бұрын
Hi, I think it was impossible to hear that explosion from more then 15000 km far air space of taxas, arcansas ,your timing was right though.

Mangesh powar ,I think it was almost impossible to hear that explosion from that over 10 thousands miles far distant ...explosion took place 63 k.m. above state Texas airspace...it was far from India.
