Mystery PS1 Games From eBay: I Did NOT Get Lucky This Time.

Remember when I only paid $40 for random PS4 games and got an amazing deal? Well, it's all about balance kids. Amazingly, I bought that box along with this one (different sellers). A random lot of PS1 games for $50. This one, unsurprisingly, did not go well. Although to be fair we haven't really done that bad with any of the other listings we've checked out so far. We were bound to hit a bad one! So here it is in all it's glory. I'm gonna go play my pristine copy of Blasto now, because ya know, I picked it out years ago.

Sadly the package is slightly worse because driver 2 actually came with 2 discs when released, what you have there is the first half of the game

At least He did not get stuck with disc 2 for Driver part 2 as it wouldn't even play anything for him . So at least he's got the portion that has playable Content on it!.. however it still sucks to receive and have an incomplete game nevertheless.

I hope he was able to get a partial refund. Because that listing is so misleading. "Most, if not all in original boxes with manuals." When none had it. I bought all three operation rainfall games on eBay very recently. Was a little pricey but all the games came together and Last Story was even the special edition with the art book. Games came all in good order, but Xenoblade Chronicles was a little scratched up and wouldn't start until I cleaned it. And even then, it wouldn't start up every time. Seller was cool and gave me a partial refund. (15 dollars, but still appreciate it.)

Didn't know it was a two-disc game, but I found it interesting him using a Blu-ray that holds two discs and not saving it for a game that required two. Turns out that would have worked great for Driver 2 if he gave both discs.

PAL cases are also super fragile and prone to scratches, but they sure do look way cooler. If anything, US ones are way easier to replace since they are pretty much standard generic CD cases, so they got that going for them I guess...

Yeah, being from Denmark, I buy a lot of used PS1 games. They are in good condition 90% of the time. The rest, I use a replacement case.

Aww man that box was a dud sadly, sorry to see that. I'm in UK and always look enviously at some of these random game boxes as I don't seem to find many of them about. Usually you seem to get a great deal. That whole lot though $50 is crazy, I know it's a different currency but I wouldn't expect to pay more than £2 for each of those games. I do love the excitement of randomness and surprise. I've even done it with t shirt random lots. I'm guessing I'm the kind of person that keeps in game loot boxes going!

It'd be fun to do an unboxing video for a collection of games, my collection is lacking especially on PS1 but after this video, luck may not be on my side but then again, it's basically luck whenever you get a box of games shipped to you, you never know what you're actually going to get and the conditions of the games. I will say though, that with the PS Classic system, I'd take the original any day. Yes the PS Classic has HDMI but I'd rather use discs and have more memorabilia with the actual classic systems.

Love this videos. 👍 When it comes to Ps1 games, to get them complete, the prices are not that great. I want to grow my psone collection, but its tough. My strategy lately is, download a random game to my psp, try it on there, and if its fun, check if the disc is at a resonable price.

@@TiagoS1904 It seems I can't help you with 2D fighting games, but I can recommend some nice racing games: - Ridge Racer Type 4 - Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit - Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed - Porsche Challenge (short but good) - Colin McRae Rally (my favorite, amazing game!) - RC de GO! (great RC racer) - Sno-Cross Championship Racing (snowmobile racer, very recommended). And, if you like futuristic races, then try with WipEout series, Rollcage, Firebugs (released only in Europe), or N-Gen Racing.

Personally if I got that I would be asking for a refund under the significantly not as described. You cannot say in the eBay product description "Most if not all come complete" if not even one single item comes in that state. On another note, I find it interesting how different the packaging was for PS1 games in the US. They kinda come across as cheap. Over here in the UK, the jewel cases we got were custom ones, unique to the PS1. They were pretty much twice as thick as a standard jewel case and much more robust. Plus, the version of "best of" we got was "platinum" and they were silver, not green.

Honestly for me, I don't mind PS1 discs having a few scratches on them, but I get for more involved collectors it's a big problem. Am I the only one who feels that PS1 games are more durable than a standard CD (even though they really aren't)? My copy of Twisted Metal 2, for example, looks awful on the bottom with several major scratches but still works like a charm...
